Winter tree with your own hands: options, instructions

This article will tell you how to make a winter tree from napkins, and also using such technique as beading. These kinds of needlework are quite common nowadays. And to be engaged in such kind of creativity is a pleasure. Let's try to create a winter tree, a photo of which will help us in this.

Beading

Working with this technique is not easy, but we'll try to understand and step by step to describe all the work. To make a winter tree of beads, the following materials will be required:

  • wire;
  • Thread of white and brown colors;
  • The basis for wood (you can use a wooden cane);
  • Ruler;
  • beads;
  • Wire cutters;
  • flower pot;
  • Gypsum or alabaster, if the tree is supposed to be poured into a pot.

Winter tree by own hands: the beginning of work with beads

It is necessary to cut off the wire with a length of 50-60 cm. For a three-dimensional tree, about 100-120 pieces of cut wire are required. Of them, branches will be made. You can not cut them right away, because the sizes can be different. It is more convenient to work from a coil with a wire. Only by making the first two branches, you will understand how long the remaining pieces are needed.

To facilitate counting, it is advisable to assemble the pieces of wire into groups of ten pieces and link them to a free node.

Creation of twigs

This, of course, is the most time-consuming part of the entire process. By the way, if you want, you can use small beads instead of beads. Winter tree should stand in the snow, so creating it, of course, is better from white sparkling beads. But matte will also look good in the final composition.

The next step-by-step instruction is as follows:

  • We string the beads onto a cut piece of wire in 50 cm. The length is from 1.5 to 2 cm. We place it approximately in the middle (the figure under the letter "a") and one of the ends of the wire is returned back, letting 1 bead bead. It will be the top of the first branch. We place all the same in the middle of the wire (Figure "b").
  • Further on one of the ends we again string the beads 1 cm in size and again return the wire back, passing the first bead (picture "c").
  • On both ends of the wire, we put on 0.5 cm beads (figure "g").
  • We repeat the same procedure from the second side of the future branch (figure "d").
  • We continue to perform these actions alternately with one end or the other, until the cut piece of wire ends. At the same time, we observe the chess order.

Assembling twigs

There are two types of assembly. You can take a few twigs and with the help of white thread bind them in a bundle. The result is a low, but fluffy tree. Let's consider the step-by-step instruction for the second variant:

  • It is necessary to take a hard wire with a larger diameter and use the white threads to wind the branches in staggered order.
  • First of them to attach in parallel basis, that is, a thick piece of wire. It is necessary to add about 11 branches, with each subsequent should be longer than the previous one by 2-3 cm. This will give the tree a natural and realistic look.
  • The first branch will be the top of the tree. If you make it 8 cm in size, then the next two should have the same length. The next two must be increased by 2 cm. This principle must be adhered to before the end of work.
  • If you have made the necessary number of branches, but you have extra pieces of wire with beads, they can be pinned to the trunk in random order.

Building a tree

It is necessary to take the base and screw to it the resulting branches. You should start with the smallest. It needs to be attached in parallel. The rest - to distribute in proportion to the increase, adhering to the chess order.

Then it should be diluted with water gypsum or alabaster to the consistency of thick sour cream and pour in the flower pot the base of the tree. Doing everything is necessary quickly, because the calcareous mineral substance freezes instantly. The tree should be held in a straightened form, until the structure hardens. Otherwise, it can bend and freeze. It will be impossible to fix this already. If you decorate the gypsum in a pot with cotton wool or sparkles, this will complement the design and make it more realistic.

Winter tree of beads is ready. Try, fantasize, change colors, and you will succeed. If you repeat this technique with a brown bead, you can create an autumn tree. From the green will be a wonderful summer option.

Technique of making paper wood from napkins

Winter trees for miniature scenes are made of plain paper. They are collected from stacks of paper snowflakes and are a great addition to a Christmas craft or winter table. For cutting, you use regular napkins. This method can be used in any school project for children.

Winter trees made of paper are made of several layers of simple paper snowflakes, we will consider the technology in more detail.

Materials used to make snowflakes

We need: light paper for the printer, sharp scissors and PVA glue.

The design is so simple that snowflakes can easily adapt to more bizarre shapes. Try using floristic or sparkling wrapping paper or a recycled newspaper to create your own style.

The trick in creating these trees is to use material that fits well. Depending on the size of the tree you want to make, you only need a few sheets.

With the paper used for the branches, you can change the structure of the tree.

Manufacture of a trunk of a paper tree

To make the trunk miniature, you need to cut out a rectangular triangle of rigid paper. You can use sheets for the printer. The height of the tree will be equal to the larger side of the triangle cut from the paper.

Paper snowflakes will be installed along the trunk every 1-2 cm. A triangle will form a cone, which will act as a frame. The longer the base of the triangle, the wider the tree trunk at the bottom. If you are going to do several handicrafts for the school project, change the height and width of the trunk to make the forest or grove more interesting.

To assemble the tree trunk, start with the right angled side of your triangle and bend the paper as tightly as possible from the right angle to the transverse point on the lower edge of the triangle. The harder you make the barrel, the easier it will be to add snowflakes. When you decide on the place, apply glue on the bottom (two centimeters wide) and glue. If you use glue on the entire surface, you will not be able to tighten the barrel by twisting the roll at the top.

The next step is to cut out the blanks for snowflakes. First, you need to prepare a base of paper squares to get six- and twelve-pointed bases. The winter tree should be made by own hands, having learned to cut out snowflakes.

Size and quantity

How to determine the size of snowflakes required for a particular tree? First you need to find out where the branches begin and how wide they will be. It is necessary to measure the distance from the mark to the top of the trunk. Each 1-2 cm, depending on the desired volume of the tree, will be placed paper branches. The upper snowflake is usually 2-3 cm in diameter. For an average tree, from six to eight snowflakes, cut from two sheets of A4-size paper, are used.

The expected sizes of a series of squares can be the following: from 5 to 1.5 cm. The difference between them should be from 1 to 0.5 cm. It is important to determine the width of the base snowflake, and from it to go along the path of reducing the size. It is important to make sure that the blanks under the snowflakes have the shape of a square. To do this, they need to be folded four times and trim the excess after the second fold.

Blanks for snowflakes

For the workpieces, you can use standard four folds, but then the tree will not look round, as it will be with a twelve or six-pointed star. To achieve this, it is necessary to fold the square of the paper with a triangle and make sure that there is a small crease to mark the midpoint of the triangle's base point.

Next, you have to roll one edge up the point at an angle of 30 degrees, and the second - down, so that the free side coincides with the line of the previous fold. Two formed corners, folded in the center, form a blank for a six-pointed star.

It is necessary to trim the edges of the folds to make a rounded shape for the future snowflake. The workpiece is ready to cut out the picture.

Final stage

How to cut a patterned snowflake for a miniature winter tree? In the middle of the workpiece it is necessary to make a hole for the trunk. After that you can experiment, choose different models of snowflakes, suitable for the selected tree style. They do not need to be made the same.

Start the assembly of the tree with the largest, without forgetting to stick it in the right places. From the top of the tree, it should be carefully moved down the trunk, slightly turning. If desired, you can wind the ends of the snowflake with a ruler. Although they also look great without this procedure.

A winter tree made of paper is ready. Create your options and participate in school competitions.
