When is the Builder's Day and where did this holiday come from?

Where does the tradition come from?

The tradition was born in Soviet Russia - in 1956 August 12, the Day of the builder was marked for the first time. The innovation came after a year earlier issued a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR "On the establishment of the annual celebration of the Day of the Builder." Since that moment the celebration, which was held regularly, has become overgrown with traditions.

For example, every time Builder's Day was celebrated, it was decided to hand over various construction objects to this date, especially for large orders. For example, they rented houses in whole neighborhoods or large stadiums, objects that have the status of socially significant.

To celebrate the professional holiday of the builders was simply a necessity in Soviet Russia. After all, it was necessary not only to build a lot: it was then that the grandiose objects appeared, thanks to which our life now became much simpler. Of course, no one argues that now the builders are doing no less work, but in those distant times they did not have such "smart" technology as now.

When are we celebrating?

In our time, not every builder can answer with speed when Builder's Day is celebrated this time. The fact is that now the holiday is not fixed for a certain date, because every time the celebration falls on different numbers. We can say that at the moment the Builder's Day in Russia is tied to a particular day of the week.

It is still celebrated annually, and it is done in August. Every second Sunday of this month it becomes an occasion for builders to gather and remember about their achievements. And also to award the best of the best - this tradition also came from the Soviet times, when the Builder's Day was truly a national celebration.

The holiday, incidentally, in our country in 2011 was recognized as federal, its value, as you can see, has not lost. No wonder, now in the Russian Federation there are about 1000 large construction organizations that can provide a wide variety of services.

It is estimated that in 2012 about 65 ml of m ^{2 of} housing was commissioned, and this is neither much nor less - almost 800 thousand apartments. And this indicator was a record for the time during which the Russian Federation exists. And the leaders in housing construction in 2012 were the Krasnodar Territory and the Chechen Republic.

Without builders, nowhere

In 2014, Russians will again celebrate Builder's Day. The number on which the holiday falls this time is 10 August. Mark it will be as always wide. To this triumph with respect are absolutely everything, ranging from ordinary citizens to high ranks.

Now the construction industry is one of the most important in the system of the Russian economy. Not only that due to its existence a lot of people have a job, so also the production of building materials is actively developing. If we calculate how much money construction and related areas bring to the budget of our country, then the figure will amount to almost a third of the total GDP.
