About the passport data

The holder of the passport is any citizen of the country who has reached the 14th anniversary. Each document has its own individual sign consisting of six digits and denoting under what number the passport form was issued. The number is preceded by a series of documents. This parameter depends on the region where the passport was issued (the first two digits) and the time when the form was issued, more precisely the year (two other digits).

Place of serial number and number

To determine the series and passport number, you need to open the second page of the document. At the very top are ten figures. They determine the series and number of the passport. It is interesting that the current legislation does not define the division of the numerical designation into a series and number. Just such a form is more familiar, as it was used in the documents of the Soviet Union.

Signature of passport holder

A very important parameter, which, if necessary, makes it possible to identify a person. Therefore, many organizations require that customers sign documents exactly as they do in their passports. Who issued the passport? This information is also very important and must be specified in the document. They are registered in the very first line on the page with a photograph of the passport holder. It remains only to find out what the unit code is in the passport.

Unit code

This information is not always requested, but in legally significant documents, as a rule, a department code is required in the passport. How do you find out this information? What do these numbers mean and what are they used for?

So, the subdivision code in the Russian passport can be found on the second page of the document, next to the photograph in the fourth line, where the date of issue of the identity card is also indicated. So all the same, what is the subdivision code in the passport and what does it mean?

What is the department code for?

Just like any encoded element, this form facilitates and reduces the amount of input data. The necessary information is simply encrypted using common notation.

So, the code of the unit in the passport is how to find out? It is presented in the form of two three-digit numbers, written down through a dash. The first two digits are assigned based on the issuing region of the document, and with the help of the third one you can determine the degree of subordination of the structural unit of the FMS that issued the passport.

These services are subdivided and denoted as follows:

  1. Zero is used to designate the FMS.
  2. Seeing the unit, you can understand that the document was issued through a specialized passport and visa service of the Internal Affairs Directorate, the Ministry of Internal Affairs or the Central Internal Affairs Directorate.
  3. The deuce is applied in cases where the owner of the passport has received it through the district or city department of internal affairs.
  4. Troika serves for the identification of passport and visa services in urban, rural or settlement areas.

The last figures relate to the specific subdivision that issued the document.

Directory

Those who received their identity card in St. Petersburg will have 78 in the first place, and for Tver and the region this figure will change On 69. 59 allocated for the Perm Territory, 24 - Krasnoyarsk.
