What is pms?

Nature has created a woman so much that her whole life depends on the cyclic processes of the body. This is related to the function of procreation. Every month the woman's body prepares for conception, producing certain hormones. If pregnancy has not occurred, then menstruation begins and the body after its completion prepares again all the forces for possible continuation of the genus. These processes are controlled by sex hormones. Depending on how much they are produced, all processes will be balanced or in imbalance. The predominance of this or that sex hormone or its lack lead to strong changes not only on the physiological, but also on the psycho-emotional level. Normally, this should not be. Nature conceived all reasonably and harmoniously, but modern life is very different from prehistoric. Constant stress, lack of adequate physical activity and inadequate nutrition lead to the fact that the hormonal background becomes unstable and the body begins to react to it in the best way. Thus, many women begin to feel what pms is.

One of the obvious manifestations of this imbalance is premenstrual syndrome in women, in abbreviated form PMS. Its manifestations are caused by the production of more than necessary hormone estrogen, and the lack of progesterone. This combination begins to lead to negative neuropsychic manifestations, vegetovascular, somatic and endocrine system.

What is PMS, many women do not recognize themselves, but thanks to people around them. To notice and realize the change in behavior and the reaction to others, to which this syndrome leads, is quite difficult. From the side of the nervous system, as a rule, it manifests itself in increased irritability, emotional instability, inadequate perception of reality. In such a period, a woman seems to think that no one likes her, that she is ugly, that everyone is against her. This condition will continue until the onset of menstruation, until the development of estrogen will not go away. A study was conducted that showed that the majority of crimes committed by women occurred just at the time when they had a pms syndrome. As most of the road accidents are committed by women at pms. Such a destructive effect on the psyche indicates that it must be identified and controlled.

In addition to pronounced emotional reactions, at the physiological level there may be headaches with pms, pain in the lower abdomen, and also in the lower back. It is also possible jumps in blood pressure, palpitations, dizziness, nausea and even vomiting.

On the part of the endocrine system, sensitivity, soreness and engorgement of the mammary glands are noted. Many people begin to notice acne, which increases during this period. During this period, the body begins to retain more fluid, which leads to a temporary increase in body weight. Often it is also possible to increase appetite, a feeling of drowsiness or insomnia.

Finding out what pms is, experts advise taking a number of measures to eliminate it or smooth out unpleasant manifestations. As a rule, the symptoms of pms start to appear less or completely go away while maintaining a healthy lifestyle and taking prescribed medicines. Moderate physical activity, healthy wakefulness and rest, proper nutrition, refusal of alcohol - all these points have a beneficial effect on our health and help it to recover. The constant care of her body by every woman will allow her to never find out what pms is.
