For many fairy tales, both Russian and European, it is characteristic to use magic objects, the purpose of which is to help the heroes in accomplishing the desired accomplishments and great feats. For example, to make them invisible, invulnerable to evil, to give strength and infinite possibilities of the organism. To such artifacts, you can safely refer and boots-speeders. In what fairy tale does this device meet, an element of clothing that gives the character who wears it a huge speed of movement in space? Or maybe there are several such works? These and other, no less interesting questions are answered by our article.

From Ancient Greece

The essence and purpose of the attribute is more than clear. It's clear that such shoes did not exist at that time, and it does not exist, probably even today (except for specialized developments, except for James Bond or inventions of crazy inventors). But the mention of it can be met with a regular regularity in various fairy tales of some peoples of the world and copyright, which were written by specific storytellers. Where did this miracle come from and in what fairy tale there are boots, speed shoes, where, so to speak, legs grow? The first of our known references to such footwear is in the ancient Greek myths. Of course, not boots, but special sandals with porches, which Hermes had, in combination - the divine postman. They helped him, when it was necessary to smash the news and overcome at the same time huge distances in a matter of minutes. Of course, this will not be a completely correct answer to the question of which fairy tale there are boots, speed skaters. Because the myth is not quite a fairy tale (and some scientists even believe that it is not a fairy tale at all). But still the original cause of the appearance of the magic object becomes clear, as is its essence: to accelerate the movement in space many times.

In what a fairy tale there are high-boots

And now we will deal directly with fairy tales. Russian and European, author's and folk, they also contain references to such useful things as boots-speed skis. From what fairy tale the name has got accustomed to the people - it's difficult to say. Pay attention to several of the most popular.

"Prophetic dream"

In it, the main character is Ivan, the son of a merchant. The fairy tale is Russian, represented in the processing of the famous collector of the oral creativity of the people Afanasyev. Narrative of a Russian guy who disobeyed his father's will. For this he was tied naked to a pole and thrown in the middle of the road. The tsarevich helps him, but Ivan soon became angry with him, for which he was thrown into a stone sack. Then the prince still releases him in order to use instead of himself in one important matter. And Ivan goes on a trip, outfitting a small squad, dressed in similar caftans, numbering 12 people. In the forest, the young man meets the elders, who inherited from his father: an invisible cap, a carpet-plane, speed boots. And deceit takes possession of powerful artifacts. Later, with the help of them, he does good deeds. Thus, one of the answers is "A prophetic dream" when asked about the fairy tale in which there are boots.

The Tale of "The Enchanted Princess"

In it, a retired soldier - the protagonist - carries out a marriage to the princess, which temporarily took the image of a bear. Here, too, he took possession of the same three magic devices by deceit, but for some reason he does not use short boots-this object. In what tale is the artifact mentioned? This question can be answered: "The enchanted princess."

Charles Perrault

In one of the author's fairy tales of this famous storyteller (of course, based on folk materials) - "Boy-with-finger" - there is a direct mention of seven-mile boots. In some variants of translations they are voiced even as short boots. The main character abducts them from the Ogre. In addition, the Boy-with-finger is assigned to the service of the King by a messenger and with the help of this magical attribute earns a lot of money, helping in need of the family.

Other works

In another fairy tale there is a tablecloth, boots, skis, an invisible cap and other magic items? It can be noted from the Russian folk: "Marya Morevna," "Invisible cap, magic whip and seven-mile boots." In the latter, attributes suggest traits, which indicates a somewhat negative attitude of the people towards such magic. Still it is possible to note such, as "Дивка" where magic boots had to burn down, "Night dances", "Торбочка-самобрака" where footwear gets to the soldier. And, for example, in the author's fairy tale Nosov about Neznayka also there is a mention of miracles.

From abroad: in the fairy tale of Hauf about the Little Flour of the hero, magic shoes are moved over long distances, which he uses with success for his own purposes. Andersen has a fairy tale "Kaloshi Happiness", where the hero's magic shoes also moves - only in time. And in Baum's "The Wizard of Oz," the magic of the shoe carries the main character out of the wanderings abroad!
