As a result, by the beginning of the next decade, Volvo Truck has already produced twelve families, which numbered about 40 modifications of trucks. In the war years the company produced special military trucks, jeeps, semi-tracked tractors, armored cars and even light tanks.

Postwar time was characterized by the appearance of a series of hood vans. By the beginning of the fifties, trucks with six-cylinder engines developed by the company appeared. These were models such as LV150, LV245 and LV290. They were replaced by families of heavier trucks of the Viking and Titan series. They were installed not only traditional petrol engines, but also new diesel engines. These were models, outwardly more similar to modern tractors.
