Vice-president of "Milan" Adriano Galliani

Adriano Galliani is an Italian businessman who is one of the most important figures of modern Italian football. He will be 73 this year, but he still does not intend to retire. Adriano Galliani more than thirty years was the vice-president and sports director of "Milan".

Carier start

Adriano Galliani was born on July 30, 1944 in an Italian city called Monza. There he graduated and started working in the local municipality. Quite quickly he began to demonstrate his managerial talents and eight years after joining the municipality Galliani ran for mayor of the city. The failure did not prevent Adriano from developing - after a while he bought a small company specializing in the production of telecommunications equipment. Galliani made this company a true market leader - she was the supplier of equipment for the country's leading TV channels. Gradually, the businessman became the fourth most influential person in the sphere of telecommunications in the whole of Italy - that's when his work with Silvio Berlusconi began, which then resulted in a long-term leadership in Milan. And even now, when Berlusconi retired from the club, Adriano Galliani continues to work there.

Working with Berlusconi

Everyone heard about Berlusconi - he was Italy's prime minister for a long time. In 1979, Berlusconi met Adriano Galliani, whose photographs appeared in many business publications. In those days, the future prime minister was the owner of the local television channel, and together with Galliani they were able to found one of the largest Italian TV channels - Canale 5.

Galliani and "Milan"

Seven years after Galliani began working with Berlusconi, the latter bought the Milan football club, making Adriano Vice President. The Italian club under the leadership of these two businessmen has become prosperous and reached the highest level in its history, winning many trophies, including international ones. However, in 2002, there was the first major scandal involving Galliani. The fact that he participated in the election to the post of president of the national professional league and won, but still did not leave the post of vice-president of Milan. Naturally, this caused discontent among many people in the field of sports, as there was a conflict of interest. As a result, Galliani was in this position for only four years, and in 2006 left it - in Italy, then a series of scandals arose because of the match-fixing. However, he did not take the blame - on the contrary, he denied all the charges and declared himself absolutely innocent. Anyway, after disqualification, he had no right to conduct any sporting activities. This all did not end - a year later against Galliani again opened the case: it was suspected that he evaded paying taxes on the income of his club. Doubts caused prices for the players that "Milan" was exchanging with "Inter" from 1999 to 2003, because they looked too inflated for those times. However, in this case the case was considered within one year, after which all charges were dropped from Galliani. Adriano remains one of the most important members of the government of "Milan" to this day, but he has ceased to be the vice-president of the club, when Berlusconi sold Milan to Chinese investors. Galliani remained in the position of sports director, but it is still unknown what will happen when the process of selling the club will be finalized. Perhaps he will retain his position in the club, but there is a possibility that Chinese investors will want to conduct a full restructuring, and many decades of work here will not matter.

Personal life

As for the private life of Galliani, here he showed himself no less actively. For a long time he was married to Daniela Rosati, an Italian model, but in 1999 divorced her. During the years of Adriano's marriage, Galliani and his wife got three children. In 2004, five years after leaving Daniela, Galliani remarried, this time his wife became Malika El-Hassasi, with whom he remains to this day, that is, their marriage for more than ten years.
