Transfer paper - an effective means for color printing
Transfer paper is a reliable means of transferring illustrations to different surfaces. The material has a loose structure, which contributes to the effective impregnation of a significant amount of colored ink during the manufacturing process.
Thanks to the specific heat treatment, transfer paper allows you to transfer a clear image to individual materials. During the heating process, the liquid components of the ink evaporate almost instantaneously, leaving a clear and vivid picture.
Areas of use
The technology has a number of advantages:
- Almost instantaneous transfer of a color image with preservation of a full palette of shades;
- The possibility of printing both single copies and large runs of products in accordance with a single template;
- Obtaining an image that is resistant to external influences.
Transfer of illustrations to paper
The degree of stability of the impression is determined by the properties of the paint and the quality of the material. Therefore, in some cases, the creation of a long-lived image is not absolutely guaranteed. The most reliable images are obtained through the use of printing devices that use water-resistant, solid dyes.

Printing Features
The transfer of images on the surface using thermal transfer paper is characterized by the following features.
- The ability to create a clear pattern on the texture and corrugated surfaces.
- Transfer tissue paper allows you to get a bright print with the correct transmission of colors and shades.
- After printing, no noticeable polymer layer remains. For example, when you transfer an image to a mirror surface, the reflection effect is retained.
- Application of the material allows creating illustrations that are resistant to external mechanical and chemical influences when using finished products in domestic conditions.
- Printing on plastic and other low-melting materials is possible.
Types of Transfer Paper
In fact, the material is a special transfer film, which contains a special coating for applying images using laser or inkjet printers.
In inkjet printing, paper is used to transfer prints to dark and light fabrics. The material also allows you to get a steady picture with the effect of fluorescent glow in the dark. The only drawback of the transfer on the tissues is an increase in the density of the material in the places of application, which can create the effect of the sagging of the imprint area.
Paper intended for laser printers is used mainly when it is necessary to decorate products made of hard materials: plastic, ceramics, glass, wood, cardboard.
