The heater design of the "fourteenth"

The fan is controlled by a special switch located on the control panel. It has four positions corresponding to its operating modes: the "OFF" mode and three speeds. The greater the speed of rotation of the impeller, the greater the flow of air supplied to the interior.

Malfunctions of the fan of a heater

Bearing wear

A sign of wear of the fan motor bearings is a characteristic buzz. At the initial stage of the failure, this phenomenon usually does not affect the operation of the device in any way, but eventually it will necessarily lead to a more serious problem. Brush wear and collector failure

Brushes bring electrical current to the motor armature. They are made of graphite and, naturally, are subject to wear. How to remove the fan of the stove on VAZ-2114

In order to repair or replace the fan motor, it must be removed. This can be done in two ways: by dismantling the heater assembly or by removing only the motor.

In the first case, it is necessary to disassemble the interior plastic, drain the coolant, disconnect the heating radiator from the cooling system, etc. Such dismantling can be justified only in one case - when a replacement of the VAZ-2114 stove is needed. If you do not plan anything, the fan can be removed from the engine compartment. The procedure is as follows:

1. We raise the hood, find the fan casing of the VAZ-2114. It is located under the windshield. You will recognize it by its round shape and the black plastic from which it is made.
2. We unscrew 2 screws and 2 bolts, through which the cover is attached to the body of the stove.
3. Disconnect the power supply connectors.
4. With a thin slotted screwdriver or knife, open the catches of the cover halves. Disconnect the halves, remove them to the side.
5. We unfold the fan so that it can pass between the side of the engine compartment and the decorative grille. We are extracting the device.

How to replace the fan

To do this, put it on a flat surface and lead to the connector two wires from the battery. The electric motor started?
