Vaccination Inoculations of Cats Kittens
Vaccination (vaccination) of cats kittens
It is very important to remember that only a perfectly healthy animal can be vaccinated. After the vaccination, you need to withstand a weekly quarantine. You can not bathe cats for a week after vaccination.
Healthy cats and kittens can be saved from infection, causing, with the introduction of a weakened pathogen into the body, artificial immunity.
Vaccines are biologics of pathogens. It is known that newborn kittens, along with colostrum, receive protective antibodies from their mothers. From 8 to 12 weeks of age, kittens should be vaccinated . For a start, they are vaccinated against the most dangerous diseases: panleukopenia (catnip ), infectious rhinotracheitis, calciviroza.
It must be remembered that vaccination is not a health prick for your kitten, but a very serious blow to the immunity of the animal, but if it is not ready for it, then it is better to wait and not rush to vaccination . The veterinarian should conduct an examination before vaccinating and asking the owners about the animal's well-being. Despite the fact that the animal can only look healthy as you are the owner of the animal, you can know what happened to him recently. Never plant a weakened animal, because the wrong vaccine can kill him or make him disabled for life!
Rules for grafting kittens and cats:
- A calcified animal for one to two weeks before inoculation ;
- Plant the kitten no earlier than 8 weeks;
- Revaccination of the kitten in 2-4 weeks, depends on the vaccine ;
- Only three weeks after vaccination , a persistent immunity is produced.
Important to remember:
- that the first vaccination of the kitten is always carried out with revaccination, then at 6 months, and the following vaccinations once a year;
- if you plant several cats in one house, it is better to do it at the same time;
- Inoculation against rabies - this is always a serious stress for the cat's body, because it is necessary to inoculate without revaccination;
The most common vaccines in Russia are:
- Nobivac Tricat - against panleukopenia, viral rhinotracheitis, calcivirus infection;
- Nobivac Rabies - against rabies;
- Leucorifelin / Leucorifelin - against calcivirus, panleukopenia, herpesvirus;
- Quadricat / Quadricat-against panleukopenia, rabies, herpesvirus and calcivirus;
- Felovax / Fel-O-Vax - against viral rhinotracheitis, kalitsivirusnoy infection, panleukolenie, chlamydia;
- MULTIFEL-4-against viral rhinotracheitis, kalitsivirusnoy infection, panleukolenie, chlamydia.
Only one and the same vaccine is needed to vaccinate and carry out revaccination!
Remember that non- vaccinated cats are very seriously ill and the disease can lead to death. The ill cat can long remain a virus carrier and can infect other cats!
