Tsipromed - eye drops

Tsipromed - eye drops, used in ophthalmology as an antibacterial agent. This drug has a disastrous effect on a wide range of microorganisms (among them protozoa and bacteria - staphylococcus, E. coli, bacteroides, gonococci, streptococci and others), which become the causative agents of such eye ailments as conjunctivitis, blepharoconjunctivitis, keratitis. The drug is actively used in the postoperative period to prevent secondary infection. It is also shown in the complex treatment of viral diseases of the organs of vision.

Tsipromed - eye drops with an active active ingredient ciprofloxacin hydrochloride. One milliliter of the solution contains three milligrams of this substance. The drug is issued in vials-droppers (sterile) with a volume of five milliliters.

When used correctly, the drug is practically non-toxic. In small amounts, it enters breast milk and systemic blood flow.

It is established that the medication begins to work within ten minutes after its use, the therapeutic effect lasts from four to six hours.

Cipromed (eye drops) is indicated for use in the following cases:

· For the treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the eyes - conjunctivitis, iridocyclitis, keratitis, blepharitis, dacryocystitis, uveitis, endophthalmitis, meibomitis - caused by bacteria, sensitive to this medicine;

· To prevent inflammation of the eyes after surgical interventions and injuries.

Cipromed. Instructions for use and recommended dosage

The drug is instilled in the conjunctive sac of the diseased organ of vision by one or two drops. The procedure is carried out four to eight times a day in the treatment of inflammatory diseases in the chronic stage. If they are acute, the frequency can be increased to nine or twelve times.

The duration of the therapeutic course is determined by a specialist individually, depending on the severity of the disease. In this case, you must adhere to all the recommendations of the ophthalmologist.

The medication should not be used by children under one year of age, women who are expecting a baby, and nursing mothers, as well as with intolerance to the components of the drug.

Eye drops "Tsipromed" (patients' reviews confirm this) can cause various allergic reactions. After the instillation procedure, a slight burning, itching, and also lacrimation can be felt. In extremely rare cases, infiltration of the cornea, keratitis, superinfection, and visual impairment may occur.

Interaction with other pharmaceutical products

It is not recommended to use Cipromed together with medicines with acidic pH (three to four), as well as with compounds that are unstable chemically or physically.

Precautions and special instructions

It is recommended to suspend lactation for the duration of treatment with the drug, since a small amount of it is found in the composition of breast milk. Also, contact lenses (soft) should not be used, as the components of the medicine are able to settle on their surface, which leads to their turbidity and eye irritation.

Overdose of the drug

In cases of unintentional intake of medicament inside of specific symptoms is not fixed. However, there may be a headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and impaired consciousness. In these reactions it is recommended to use a large volume of liquid.

After opening the container, the drug is suitable for use for one month.
