Trichomoniasis: symptoms in women and clinical outcome

Today, trichomoniasis is considered to be one of the most common sexually transmitted diseases. The main causative agent of this pathology is the vaginal trichomonas, which often occurs during sexual intercourse, but a household mode of transmission is possible, in particular, through the affected objects, or in close corporal contact that is not sexually transmitted. If we talk about newborns, infection occurs from the infected mother to the fetus in the womb.

If a disease such as trichomoniasis occurs , the symptoms in women require a timely response, otherwise the pathology can progress to a chronic form and lead to colpitis, vulvovaginitis, cervicitis and urethritis. In addition, do not forget that such ailment significantly reduces the quality of sexual life of women, significantly violating sexual and menstrual functions. It is important to understand here that the affected organism becomes accessible to the penetration of other pathogenic infections that can develop more serious pathologies. Also, infections can directly enter the abdominal cavity and into the upper parts of the reproductive system.

Modern medicine even made a weighty statement about the development of infertility in men against the background of the existence of a disease of trichomoniasis. It has already been reliably proven that the development of trichomoniasis is promoted by hormonal disorders, weakening of the protective function of the immune system, imbalance of the microflora of the vagina, besides Trichomonas rapidly multiply during menstruation.

Signs of trichomoniasis in women are very similar to the symptoms of thrush, for example. So, ladies, in whose organisms the infection is present, regular discharge from the vagina is observed, and similar whites have a liquid and foamy consistency of yellowish color. Similar anomalies are accompanied by burning and itching of the genitals.

However, it should be noted that recently such pathologies are asymptomatic, without manifesting themselves in the infected organism, therefore it is very difficult to diagnose trichomoniasis, the symptoms are simply absent in women. In such cases, when a disease is detected only during routine examination, there is a serious threat that chronic trichomoniasis occurs in women, that is, infection predominates in the female body for a long time without proper treatment (more than a couple of months). Chronic trichomoniasis is characterized by recurrent recurrences, exacerbated against such pathogenic factors as emotional shocks, hypothermia and others.

If the diagnosis of "trichomoniasis" has been confirmed by clinical studies , the symptoms in women should be immediately eliminated, but sometimes it is not so easy, especially if the pathology is started.

So, timely treatment is required, which should occur "in a duet", so to speak, that is, you need to be treated with your sexual partner. In addition, the rehabilitation period requires complete abstinence from sexual intercourse and the intake of recommended anti-trichomonadic drugs, among them the most effective are Metronidazole and Fasizhin, but there are also many of their productive counterparts.

It is important to remember that during pregnancy treatment should be immediate, as there is a threat of infection of the membranes, which can lead to infection of the fetus or premature birth. If there is a chronic trichomoniasis, the symptoms in women exacerbated periodically, so the complex treatment includes immunostimulants for a productive correction of immunity.

One way or another, you need to respond in a timely manner to the alarming signals of your body, so as not to lead to a chronic disease, which will subsequently be much more difficult to cure.
