This Mad Garbage World: A Few Ways to Attract Attention to the Ecology Challenge

Each of us at least once thought about the cleanliness of the environment. Transparent air without poisonous fumes, chemicals and exhaust gases, harvested lawns with trimmed grass, clean sidewalks and roads - all this to a modern resident of the metropolis seems fantastic. However, not everyone is making efforts to make the environment a little cleaner. The issue of preserving the environment is today occupied by the progressive minds of mankind. Scientists, governments of many countries are struggling to solve the global problem of planet pollution, and just volunteers are those who care for the cleanliness of the planet. So fashion designers and artists decided to join the general movement and create several creative projects to draw attention to the environmental situation in the world. One of the sensational projects of our time was a hotel of garbage, built in Madrid. The raw material for the embodiment of the insane idea of the German artist Hans Schult was ordinary garbage collected in large numbers on the local beach by volunteers participating in the action. Particularly noteworthy is that all this garbage was thrown out of the ocean to the beaches of Italy and some other European countries. Of course, the hotel is not adapted to life - it's just an art project designed to draw public attention to the problem of environmental pollution. If people will not soon stop arranging a dump from the world's ocean, they will simply have nowhere to live, and the beaches will turn into huge garbage dumps, - this is the main idea of social performance. Recently, designers have taken a great interest in the creation of clothes made of garbage and recycled materials. In the collections and at the shows you can see a dress from checkered trunks or sachets from under the chips. There was even a whole trend of creating fashionable clothes from recycled fabrics. So, for example, the former artistic director of advertising companies Levi Strauss and Dockers Europe, Gary Harvey, created a whole garment line from waste. In the collection you can find an old-style dress with a lush skirt, but made of 42 old jeans. A dress from a huge number of copies of the Financial Times recalls that even old newspapers can be an excellent raw material for a fashionable experiment. An additional advantage of this dress is probably that it can be read at leisure. It is difficult to say what exactly motivates designers who create clothes from garbage. The world of fashion is constantly changing, and there is a lack of new ideas, creativity. Perhaps these are attempts to overcome the "ideological hunger" and the lack of fresh impressions. The creation of "garbage" clothing was especially popular during the financial crisis, when the need to save on everything and give up fabulous fabrics plunged millions of shopaholics into horror. Dress from garbage bags can be an excellent PR-project, with the help of which you can draw attention to different social problems. Well, of course, the possibility of self-expression and inspiration - from this can not escape, if it is a question of fashionable artists. The problem of environmental pollution is exacerbating the public, inspiring designers and artists for crazy and daring projects. Who knows, maybe in a couple of years another source of inspiration for the fashionable environment will be the utilization of technology. A sofa from old system blocks in the fashionable style of hi-tech or a giant figure of the mobile from the details of old phones - these creations already today call for closer attention to the problem of recycling equipment. Such performances are a great chance to attract the attention of the townsfolk to the problem of environmental pollution.
