The story "How the Cock of a Rooster Saved from Death" is a beautiful sketch from a village life
A very talented Russian writer Evgeny Ivanovich Nosov wrote the story "How the Cock of a Cock from Death Saved". He was born in 1925, and his biography was not very different from the fate of his peers. After finishing eight classes, in 1943 Yevgeny Nosov went to the front, where he fought in the army of K. K. Rokossovsky. He was an artilleryman, a gunner gunner, reached Koenigsberg, where he was seriously wounded. I met the victory on a hospital bed.
Beginning of creativity
The first printed works appeared in 1947 (poems, essays, reviews), and in 1957 he published his first story for children - "Rainbow". A wonderful, very nice sketch about the glorious ten-year-old Evseyik, such a "Nekrasov" peasant with a horse, about "fetovskih" places (the action takes place in the ancestral estate of the poet) and about how the boy wanted to catch the beautiful rainbow. The story is very good. Already in 1958, Yevgeny Ivanovich published the first collection for children "On the Fishing Path", in which the novel "How the Cock of a Cock from Death Saved" was published. The writer Nosov has a wonderful language, you read his prose with pleasure. This happens, perhaps because he writes about things familiar to him - rural life and war.
Popular Soviet magazines
Rural prose in general is a wonderful thing. At different times, rural life was described by I. Turgenev, N. Leskov, I. Bunin. F. Abramov, V. Astafyev, V. Belov, V. Rasputin and other classics "hillbilly". Evgeny Ivanovich Nosov perfectly fit into this company of talented writers. His works are very familiar to the Soviet reader, because many of them published in the "Roman-Gazeta". On it, as well as on the "New World", where E. Nosov was also published, almost all city residents were signed. These magazines plus "Foreign Literature" and "Youth" were readable, discussed, they were eagerly awaited.
Honored award
Some of the writer's works were screened, including the peak of his work - the story "Usvyatskie shlemonoscy" (the film was called "Spring"). Evgeny Nosov is a laureate of the Solzhenitsyn Prize, which is given to Russian writers who live in the country and made a significant contribution to the preservation of Russian literature.
The story "How the Cock of a Rooster Saved from Death" is a sketch from a village life. The author's talent lies in the fact that each word of the work adds the necessary touch to the description of two days from the life of a peasant family. The reader gets the full impression that he saw the whole story with his own eyes. In fact, the narrative "How the Cock of a Rooster Saved from Death" is a tale of human kindness and empathy. It is very good that he is included in the school textbooks. Such works make children sensitive.
What a story?
A happy ending
It was very sad for the boy to watch the cock eat nothing and drink and how its frostbitten head swelled. He was distracted only by the arrival of Kolki. The children played all possible games and decided to start a gramophone and listen to a new record with Krylov's fables. When TV sets were not yet available, a lot of records were produced for children with songs and various works performed by the most famous and talented actors. Here and on this plate with a fable about mutual compliments of a cock and a cuckoo artist so falteringly croaked that Vitkin cock, who did not tolerate any competition, came to life and went to subdue the insolent gramophone. To the joy of the household and guests, after the victory over the apparatus, the cock ate and drank.
In 1981, S. Nikonenko based on the lyrical works of E. Nosov staged the film "Gypsy Happiness", in which a short story "How the gramophone saved the cockerel" entered.
The writer died in 2002. In his homeland in the city of Kursk he received a remarkable monument.
