Definition

The order ribbon is a fabric used for tightening the medal straps, covering the pads with which the rewards (orders and medals) are fastened to the uniform. Each ribbon has a unique color and pattern, they are set by the statute of the award.

History

This element appeared in the 19th century in tsarist Russia. Then it was wide strips of cloth of a certain color, to which the orders were fastened. Production

This product is a narrow colored or patterned strip of fabric with transverse and longitudinal threads. The edges are overcrowded. They are made on special weaving looms from viscose or lavsan twisted yarns.
