Sergei Yesenin is one of the most outstanding poets of the Silver Age. His works are included in the program of all schools of our country today, many poems are known and remembered with pleasure by adults and adults. History of creation
The sculpture was established in 1995, to the centenary of the birth of the poet. The monument to Yesenin was created by the sculptor A. Bichukov and the architect A.V. Klimochkin. The masters wanted to immortalize the "simple guy from Ryazan", so the image of the writer is quite informal and simple. Choosing a location

During his lifetime Esenin turned to the monument of A.S. Pushkin, installed nearby, in one of his poems. The second version is more prosaic. During the life of the poet in the house number 37 on Tverskaya Street there was a cafe Stoil Pegasus. In this institution many creative and public figures of that time gathered, Esenin himself visited him. Today, the cafe is almost forgotten, but the monument to the writer stands very close to the house in which it was located.
Yesenin and Pegasus
