The mystery of the Russian soul to outsiders is really not understand. At the moment, if you measure this lack of understanding, the device would go off scale. But they did not come up with an instrument or a way out of this misunderstanding. Even the anecdotes about the difference in mentality has become significantly more recently.

Probably, because after decades of the last cold war, perestroika has the opportunity to get closer and get to know each other better. Well, they found out. The Russians, who never lost their gullibility, came and knocked on the door. And then, according to the blogger Olga Tukhanina, the door opened then to push a stranger into the forehead. Why is that?

History for everything will answer

This is reality. Americans, whose mentality is based on self-confidence, and therefore, rightness, are cruel enough. In addition, to a very high degree of sentimentality, which, however, is quite inherent in this cruelty. It's all about the origins, because it makes sense to consider the history of the two states. The wars have been known well enough by Russians and Americans alike.

Mentality, however, does not cease to be different. This is because the Russians defended and defeated, the Americans attacked and also sometimes won. America does not have a single song about the enemies who burned their native hut and killed all their relatives. They do not know the real suffering, and therefore the compassion of the present is not there. That is why the features of the mentality of Americans differ from Russians. Russia knows what is the defense of its own land.

Impunity

After the notorious September 11, when not twenty million people died, like the Russians in the Great Patriotic War, but several thousand people, an act was adopted that grossly violated the Bill of Rights, that is, what the Americans were especially proud of. The mentality was enriched by a new characteristic stroke. They are able to give a little bit of their freedom for security reasons. And someone else can be destroyed and completely.

For the US, this event was the most outrageous in the history of the country's existence. Not the genocide of the Indians. Not atomic bombs on Japan. Not Vietnamese children running in napalm fire. No. The Americans then sincerely regretted the killing of children, paper cranes flew across America in packs in honor of the Japanese baby, who died of radiation sickness. But the Americans did not repent, no. This whole situation - its own importance and disregard for the rest of the world - has all the tendencies to remain in the future: Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria ... Wherever they want, they bomb there. And how much they want. Are they so bold or have they no one to be afraid of?

Dead end

In Europe, the war is remembered, in Russia - even more so. And in the US they do not know anything about it, although they are constantly at war. For thousands of miles from home why not fight? Most often in front of the monitor, like playing a game, like a Hollywood fighter watching.

"Wow!" - exclaimed enthusiastically Hillary Clinton, when she was shown the shooting of the terrible death of Muammar Gaddafi. And clapped her hands. Is this the majority of the rest of America? Hence the difference in the mentality of Russians, Americans, Indians and Englishmen. If most people in the country like to kill foreigners, then this country poses a threat to the rest of the world.

Dialog?

The Kremlin is now unusually active. This, by the way, is a feature of the purely Russian mentality - to wake up at last, to look around and be amazed: wow, what have they done without me! Many steps of our foreign policy - in the same Syria - clearly show that there is a need for a tough dialogue between Russia and the United States. Is it possible to peacefully negotiate with those who like to kill everyone and who is used to doing it? And an immutable fact - we will also try to kill, but not agree, the mentality of the Americans does not suggest anything else.

Tried to talk already. Gorbachev recently threw down his arms and held out both hands. And here: it - in handcuffs, and the country - a bullet in the forehead. We are strangers to them. And they are the owners of the whole earth. A bit missed this time, wrong. And the second case of dialogue, if it happens, is unlikely to give America the possibility of another shot. The only thing Russian should be afraid of is the knife in the back.

Elections

To understand the difference in the mentality of Americans from Russians, it is worthwhile to compare the situation in the elections in both countries and the attitude towards them. Since the elections to the US Parliament and the State Duma pass almost simultaneously, pictures are easy to sort and classify. On fresh tracks, the mentality of Americans and Russians is especially clearly visible. The difference is that in America the same Hillary Clinton screams that he will return the US hegemony and destroy Putin and Russia.

In Russia, they do not know such a purely American trend as the infrastructure of influence on the whole world: the Russians did not invent the world currency that enslaved the world community, and they do not differ in military presence around the world. It is also worth looking at the map for confirmation: US military bases covered the entire planet, concentrating around Russia. And even with such an external threat, the mentality of the Russians is unbeatable: in recent elections, more than half of the population hoped for a chance and did not visit the vote.

From the point of view of modern psychology

Despite the fact that the Russians and Americans physiologically have the same body, many psychologists believe that these are completely different kinds of people. And their differences are almost entirely in the subconscious, that is, actions are committed absolutely automatically. In the perception of themselves and others, the mentality of Americans and Russians can not even be compared, because there are practically no points of contact from which one could begin a comparison. The American hopes only for himself, does not see any obstacles to the achievement of the goal, and those caught in the way simply sweep away. This gives rise to unjustified self-confidence.

I want to grow long, like Chopin's, fingers, and I'll grow! Ah, did not grow up. Hence, I wanted to somehow weakly, did not try. These are the main features of the mentality of Americans. I want to be the strongest - I will weaken the rest. And the Russians look mostly on the sides and most of the time they are inactive, relying on circumstances. I wanted to do something, but historically it did not work out, the weather failed, the government prevented it. That is, in the mentality of the Russian - seeming and unreasonable self-doubt. But everything is historically well formed, the weather does not interfere, the government will help if the people face a common task. Sobornost - that's what the Russian main thing. And this is how the mentality of Americans and Russians differs.

Conversations in different languages, although all - in English

It is very difficult for Russian and Americans to begin a conversation. Russians keep silence for a long time and persistently, creating a false impression among those around them, either cowardice or dullness. In fact, variability is calculated, as far as they are right or wrong will turn out to be talking. Russians do not like being very wrong. Not in vain from everyday life and saying: "The word is silver, and silence is gold" and "The word is not a sparrow, it will fly out - you will not catch it." Personal opinion for the Russian is very expensive, but he almost always prefers the public.

Americans have the opposite. They are sure that they have a full concept of everything in the world. They are taught at school that it is necessary to express their opinion on any occasion, and therefore they talk and chat without stopping, otherwise it is difficult for them to exist. But this does not mean that an American is bolder, stronger or wins in the mind. No. Having taken an unreasonably high position of omniscience, even the most prominent American experts can not understand either Russians or Russia. Even if our countries start negotiations, they both get the impression that they are being conducted in different languages.

"Yes" and "no" do not say ...

Such simple words, which can not be dispensed with, can even serve as an occasion for the outbreak of another war, if one does not take into account the mentality of Americans and Russians. The difference is that the Russians have the word "no" gradations, and Americans "no" is used in a single meaning - only not, solely and exclusively. They do not like using this word, and almost never use it - only in exceptional cases. With the word "yes" everything is exactly the opposite. For the Russian there is no other meaning to this concept, but Americans have plenty. They even use it instead of "no", so that nothing threatens their private borders, suddenly the interlocutor refuses to be angry.

And therefore, cultural communication between two people, companies or countries quite often comes to a standstill. Russians consider the "yes" heard instead of "no" hypocrisy, and "no" is considered something like "well, almost yes." Americans are starting to behave aggressively if they are not understood or accepted: they said the word "no". The Russians are amazed at the back of the head when the American partner, who clearly and loudly said yes, suddenly failed to fulfill his promises. And since the mentality is almost completely different, it is incredibly difficult for Russians and Americans to agree on something. Although there were such joyful moments, there were. True, long ago. And immediately disappeared for a long time. Let's hope that not forever.

Intermediaries

If an insufficiently comfortable situation is created for an American through the fault of those around him, then, like the Russian would do, he will never find out himself, make observations, and generally teach to live. He will appeal to the authorities - to the police, to the court, to any controlling bodies. For the Russian mentality, fiscalism is not honorable, the Russian must be offended, because he had no idea that someone is interfering, and any "buffer system" does not need anything to stop people from surrounding. "Yabed" from early childhood is one of the most terrible insults. Russian parents teach their offspring: do not complain, understand yourself.

In America, on the contrary. To complain to the teacher is right and much better than just giving face to face, for example, to the offender of girls. For the first it is praised by the teacher and classmates, for the second they can be expelled from school. In the United States, the average American always strictly observes the laws. In Russia, even scary to think about how to complain about neighbors to the manager - everyone will be condemned, even the manager will be surprised. And if there are no cars on the horizon, any Russian will necessarily cross the street to a red light. Because he has another vision of expediency. Conflict is also a form of communication. Disassembly with neighbors from the fight easily pass into a long and real friendship. And this is normal, open and honest relations for Russians. To say what you think. To defend what has been said is not in litigation, but directly with each other. For Americans, any conflict is a point of no return to good neighborliness. It is especially bad that such mentality has a great influence on international relations.
