The mixer aerator will save water for future generations

In the 21st century, mankind is increasingly confronted with the problem of freshwater deficit. The fact becomes clearer that if you do not switch to economical, sustainable consumption, the Earth will gradually turn into Mars, where, too, judging by the data from rovers, fresh water streams once flowed .

That this never happened, the plumber was taught to be economical: do not waste precious water, reduce the use of hot water to the required minimum, replace drinking water, where possible, with a technical one.

One of the measures to save water is to reduce the level of its consumption without compromising the user's comfort. This measure provides a simple design and inexpensive to produce a device - an aerator for a mixer.

Usually, when the tap is opened, water is poured out of it by a single narrowly directed thick jet. In this case, about 15 liters are consumed per minute. And this rapid flow in the intervals between various actions, whether brushing teeth, washing, washing dishes or fruits, simply goes into the sink, without producing any useful work.

The aerator for the mixer, which is, in fact, a water spray, breaks the jet into a multitude of small streams, while capturing the air and mixing it with water. The jet becomes thicker, its area increases. But with the same head of water it is consumed already about 6 liters per minute. Every day, saving consumable water is 60%! And this is not counting the energy spent on transporting it to the place of consumption.

Mixer aerators can be sold separately or complete with a device that facilitates installation on the faucet, including those not equipped with a connection for the installation of an aerator.

Another aerator for the crane, installed in the shower, has no exaggeration of cosmic origin. Designers of the Soviet orbital station Salyut-6 to provide hygiene cosmonauts invented a super-economical shower, which served in the cubicle of precious in space water mixed under pressure with air bubbles. With a minimum of water consumption, the cosmonauts received a truly heavenly delight!

On the ground, the aerator for the mixer in the shower, despite the presence of gravity, works in a similar way, significantly reducing water consumption and simultaneously maintaining the fullness of sensations. The most perfect aerators do this at a flow rate of only 8.5 liters per minute. Increasing the consumption to 12 liters turns the ordinary shower into a real tropical downpour. It is possible to go further and, having increased the flow by half, to appear directly under the waterfall! And all this extravaganza provides a simple and fairly cheap device.
Unfortunately, the degree of purity of water in our extremely worn out water supply networks leaves much to be desired. Because of this, the mixer aerator is clogged with accumulation over time, and it must be periodically cleaned. For this, a descaling agent is usually used. But you can and do not resort to chemistry: remove the aerator from the tap, remove the filter from its cage and put it into ordinary table vinegar for the night. In the morning, washing the filter, you can install it in place.

Having installed aerators on the cranes in your accommodation, you will contribute to the preservation of a unique natural phenomenon in the universe that gave life to all life on Earth.
