The device of a floor in the frame house: the review of existing variants

Even if you are a person who is far from the construction sphere, then you should be aware that without a quality floor covering, living is extremely uncomfortable. This applies to houses of different materials. Not an exception and frame construction. If you properly equip the structure of the floor, then with it you can keep the indoor heat, and create a reliable support that will extend the life of the building for several decades.

In order to give the construction strength, it is necessary to create a rough floor, which will act as the basis for the future finish coat.

Features of the design of the rough floor

If you will be installing a floor in a frame house, the first step is to create a blackprint, which should be as flat as possible, flat and reliable. In the end, such a coating can be laid, for example, a laminate. The main task of such a design will be a uniform distribution of the load on the surface. So you can eliminate the appearance of bends and deformations of the finish coating. The device of a floor in the frame house can be carried out on several technologies, but the most popular and actual today are lags, dry screed on the ground or a wet screed on the soil surface.

Stages of erecting a rough floor on logs

If you decide to use a technique that involves the use of logs, then the work can be done in several stages. These elements are untreated bars, which are located on the overlap or ground. Their alignment should be carried out from the side where the finish will be covered. To do this, you can use a conventional ax. Wood protects against aggressive factors and insects, for which the surface of elements is treated with antiseptic composition.

If you will lay logs on the overlap, then in the upper crown of the walls you need to cut out the grooves where the planed logs will be laid. Among other things, the lags are installed on brick supports, which strengthen the system and extend the life of the structure. When the roughing installation is carried out on the base, the ground is pre-covered with a 2 cm layer of crushed stone, which must be compacted. The logs are installed on support poles that are mounted on the foundation, and their protection against moisture will prolong the life of the structure.

For reference

The device of a floor in the frame house can be carried out and from plywood which is established on lags. This option turns out to be budgetary and is characterized by durability and practicality. To securely fasten the elements around the perimeter, you need to lay small blocks, from which a wooden crate should be made. Plywood sheets are fixed with special screws or nails, the distance between which should be approximately 150 mm.

After the completion of these works, it is possible to start laying heat-insulating materials like a mineral wool or a substrate under the laminate.

Creating a rough coat on the basis of a wet screed

If you will be carried out the installation of a floor in a frame house, then it is possible to apply the technology of wet screed on the ground. This technique is not always preferable for the reason that the floor surface will need to be left to dry completely, which will take several weeks. The deadline will depend on the climatic conditions. Today, two methods of wet screed are known, one of which involves the use of a cement slurry, while the other is a filler floor. The most common way to create such a basis is the use of cement brand M-250.

As a result, it is possible to obtain a smooth surface due to the incorporation of polymer ingredients. Among other things, they give the coating an increased resistance to mechanical stress. The thickness of this system can vary from 30 to 100 mm. The screed should be additionally reinforced with metal elements.

Preparatory work

The device of a rough floor in the frame house can be carried out by a method of packing of a wet screed. At the preparatory stage, in this case, the base should be cleaned by removing debris, foreign objects and dirt.

The next step is the waterproofing of the polyethylene film, and along the perimeter you need to install a tape that will compensate for the thermal expansion of the mixture. If the surface has a difference in the range from 2 to 4 mm, you should install beacons that guarantee a perfectly flat surface after pouring.

Methods of work

When the installation of the floor of the frame house on the ribbon foundation is carried out, the next step is to dilute the mixture and apply it, leveling a special bar. From the emerging air bubbles need to get rid of the needle, then the roughing is left to dry for about a month. Once the floor has strength, you can use it as a rough base for laying any finishing coat, including ceramic tiles, linoleum, parquet boards or laminate.

Advice of a specialist

It is better to equip the filler floor, which becomes a rough base, when leveling the surface with a slope of up to 30 mm is required. However, it is strictly forbidden to apply such a mixture to the ground, since the composition requires the presence of a solid base, for example a concrete screed.

The material needs to be protected from moisture, so it is necessary to lay the waterproofing film. Its thickness can vary from 1 to 2 mm. The technology of laying such a solution is similar to the method described above, but the bulk floors dry faster, and further work will be possible after 10 days.

Floor in a frame house on screw piles

The structure of the floor of the frame house on screw piles will provide for the use of a bar, channel or I-beam. The work can be done immediately after the pile foundation. For the strapping, you can use wooden beams, to which the lags are attached. The length of the span of the beams should not exceed a level of three meters. If the span is greater than this value, then you should additionally use pylon supports. For beams, a cross-section of 100 mm is recommended, as the material is best used coniferous wood.

Before assembling the strapping, it is necessary to make a waterproofing of the substrate with the help of a ruberoid, polyethylene film or foam foil. When the installation of a floor in a frame house on stilts is carried out, after installing the beams, you can proceed to laying the log. The distance between these elements should be 500 mm. For the first floor logs on piles are used, the cross section of which should be 250 mm. Whereas for the second floor elements in 70x200 mm are suitable. If the spans are relatively small, especially for bathrooms and bathrooms, the cross-section of the beams can be reduced to 50x150 mm.

In order to increase the strength of the structure, the distance between the lags can be reduced to 40 cm. Before setting the lag, it is necessary to make a marking that will determine the distance between the elements. At the next stage in the bar of the strapping it is necessary to make grooves along the width of the beams. As soon as lags are placed in the grooves of the strapping, they can be fixed with dowels, self-tapping screws, nails or screws.

When the installation of a floor in a frame house is carried out, the photo is recommended to be considered in advance. Perhaps this will allow you to understand what method to carry out the work. By the way about the aforesaid it can be noted that from the bottom to the logs are fixed boards of square section with a side of 30 mm. In order to increase the strength of the floor construction, the beams are joined by crosspieces, the distance between them is 150 cm. However, this condition is not mandatory.

Floor heating on the stove

If you have finished the construction of a frame house, as the base of which the slab stands, then it's time to start working on a warm floor. The substrate must be clean and dry, and the maximum height difference should not be more than 0.5 cm. Otherwise, the unevenness must be leveled. For this, sometimes even a layer of low-quality concrete is applied.

When the installation of a floor in a frame house on the slab is carried out, the next step is to lay the waterproofing so that it also performs the role of the vapor barrier. To do this, you can use a polyethylene film. The overlapping of the canvas should be approximately 12 cm, and the seams are joined with adhesive tape. It is important to lay a thick layer of insulation, which will eliminate heat loss. The most practical material is penofol. The construction of a warm floor in a frame house in the next stage involves laying the pipeline, which is then poured with the same concrete screed.
