The art of undressing - what is it called? Dancing on a pole, or The history of striptease

In the modern lexicon the word "striptease" began to occur more and more often. Today, probably, every person knows what it is and what is called. Dancing on the pole is a symbol of the manifestation of feelings and emotions with the help of body movements. Translated from English, you can determine the meaning of this dance: "strip" is "undress", and "tease" is "teasing".

Of course, striptease is one of the most erotic and sensual dances. In our time, everyone can learn this art, if desired, but earlier this dance was a special ritual, accessible only to the initiated. It's not a secret for anyone that this is what it is called. Dancing on the pole began in ancient times. At that time, this kind of dancing was treated with special trepidation and reverence, since it served not to provide visual pleasure to mere mortals, but to delight the gods.

It's strange that many people still consider striptease a vice of modernity. Hearing this word, hypocrisy wrinkles disdainfully, and the venerable matrons roll their eyes. But still dancing at the pole can be called ritual. They admired the Egyptian pharaohs and the Roman patricians, and the ancient Greeks even attended the dancing hetter. It's no wonder that women who danced striptease had great power over rulers. This is evidenced by numerous historical facts. So, a dancer named Salome brought King Herod with his dances in such ecstasy that he allowed her to ask him for whatever she wanted. Her desire was rather strange. She wanted to get the head of John the Baptist, who declared her mother to be dissolute because of her relationship with two blood relatives. And, of course, the dancer got it.

The Middle Ages with its harsh laws brought to nothing the cult of the body, so the striptease for a very long time has sunk into oblivion. And only at the very end of the 19th century the dance was revived thanks to the students of one of the art schools in France. At a student's party, a girl named Moulin Rouge decided to bare her body during her dance, which the police did not like much, for which the girl was arrested. Since then, the striptease has again become fashionable, although it has long been banned in many countries. "Moulin Rouge" - one of the most famous and old cabaret strip-clubs, it was the first institution of this type, opened in the Old World. The famous spy Mata Hari attracted many diplomats and politicians with her mystique and great ability to dance striptease. She knew what it was and how it was called. Dances on the pole, however, she gave out for the ancient dances, performed by Indian priestesses and available only to the initiated. Speaking about Russia, here the striptease began to enjoy wide popularity thanks to Yesenin's lover Esadore Duncan. She played it barefoot, gradually bare. Her dances were beautiful and were in demand, as they introduced the audience into the most perfect ecstasy.

In our time, everything has changed. Modern people know what kind of art it is and how it's called. Dances on the pole have their meaning. And moreover, women and men can learn this art to constantly surprise their loved ones.
