Symptoms of menopause

At the age of 45 to 50 years, the production of female sex hormones is on the decline, and in fact under their influence the body of a woman lived and developed for many years. The hormonal background changes rather quickly, and this can not be manifested through a number of symptoms that are commonly called menopausal syndrome.

With the onset of the menopause, the production of sex hormones gradually decreases, this leads to characteristic changes in the menstrual cycle: menstruation becomes less frequent, their duration and intensity are reduced. For most women, this period can pass almost unnoticed, but many can detect a noticeable climacteric syndrome. By the age of fifty, menopause occurs in women - the cessation of menstruation. The peculiarity of establishing the date of the onset of menopause is that the exact term for the termination of menstruation can be called not less than one year after the last menstruation, because they, having ceased for several months, can always resume. This should not be forgotten in order to avoid unwanted pregnancies.

It is possible to distinguish and pathological symptoms of menopause - much more intense and profuse menstruation than ever before. This phenomenon is quite common, about a third of women of this age are facing it, however it is absolutely necessary to visit the doctors - gynecologist and endocrinologist. Another unusual sign is a sudden complete cessation of menstruation, but there are much fewer such cases.

Allocate the following symptoms before menopause. First - the change of mood. The woman even herself notices for herself these changes: the mood can dramatically change from rapturous to irritable and depressive. Unfortunately, at this time it is difficult to maintain a warm and even relationship at work and in the family - for any harmless word a woman can react with rudeness and resentment. Other signs of menopause are sleep disturbance, especially it is difficult to fall asleep, because a woman begins to remember the unpleasant moments that occurred during the day. It makes her even more frustrated. Sexual attraction, which is sharply reduced or, conversely, greatly strengthened, can not but affect the life of a woman.

Changes in the work of the autonomic nervous system are no less known signs of menopause. This is natural, because every change in mood affects the work of the vessels and internal organs of women. Symptoms of menopause, which manifest violations of the function of the vegetative system - the famous "tides" of blood to the face and upper body, excessive sweating, attacks of increased heart rate, problems in the work of the stomach and intestines.

The problems of the vegetative system can manifest themselves in the form of itching, "goose bumps" along the body and other signs. Such vague sensations in aggregate in nervous disorders can sometimes lead a woman to the idea that she is seriously ill.

Often, with the onset of menopause, the jumps of depression also begin: its significant increase can be replaced by a sharp decrease. Of course, the pressure does not reach critical values, but it is quite difficult to transfer such changes to a woman - they are accompanied by frequent headaches, sometimes - loss of consciousness.

Often with menopause, an allergic reaction is possible in the form of urticaria, swelling, or runny nose.

Climacteric syndrome can proceed relatively easily, can be of moderate severity and quite severe. With a mild course of menopause, the woman is completely able to work, and with medium and heavy form, she may need medical help. There is no consensus on how to treat menopause. One thing is clear - you should not do this yourself, because women often begin to fight with symptoms, and not to influence their cause. Now there are a lot of drugs containing hormones that can easily replace the decreasing amount produced by the female body. These drugs should be selected by a qualified physician based on the results of the tests performed.
