"Star Wars" who took it off? Why are Star Wars not shot in order?
Most of us are familiar with such a fantastic blockbuster as "Star Wars". Who took it, is also known. This outstanding director was George Lucas. Where the action of this iconic epic saga occurs is also not a secret. It talks about a fantastic universe and its inhabitants. But for a year now, disputes concerning the principle of the release of series have not ceased. It is completely unclear why the films 4, 5, 6 first appeared and only after 1, 2, 3? What is the reason for this?
Short biographical note on the creator of "Star Wars"
George Walton Lucas Jr. was born on one of the small farms in California on May 14 in 1944. He studied at a local school, and graduated from high school in Downey. At that time, he was very keen on drag racing and dreamed about the incredible career of a racing driver.
However, an unexpected car accident completely changed everything. Immediately after a long recovery, the young man entered the University of Southern California, where he was to receive education in the field of direction.
It was there that Lucas studied, later he created the fantastic saga "Star Wars". Who shot, wrote the script for the star sequel, in this case, it is easy to understand. All this was done by one person - George Lucas. About how he did it, we will tell further.
Brief background
The idea to shoot an unusual fantasy film about life and adventures in space arose from the young filmmaker George Lucas during his student days. And although initially it was only a kind of mythical venture, a few years later it began to take shape and shape. According to Lucas himself, he was inspired by the picture of Akira Kurosawa's friend Hidden Fortress to create the "star child".
From that moment, George began to work actively on writing the script. As a result, a small work was produced on twelve sheets, having the complex title "The Story of Mace Wyndo, Reverend Jedi-bend, a relative of Ishibi S-Gee Teip, a disciple of the great Jedi."
Later, the format of the name changed. But the script, according to the director himself, was not yet ready. But even with these sketches, Lucas still managed to find a film studio that agreed to the adaptation of his creation. The shooting began, one after another began to come out new series of the saga "Star Wars". Why it was removed from episode 4, it is difficult to say. According to eyewitnesses, the blame for all was the imperfection of the scenario, in which changes were made as they were filming.
Premiere of the first film
According to George's stories, a preview of the film "Star Wars. Episode IV: A New Hope "occurred in a narrow circle of acquaintances, colleagues and friends. But they did not take her seriously.
"All but Spielberg, in unison, insisted that nothing more ridiculous had not been seen before," the director and creator of the epic "Star Wars" shares his impressions. Why did you shoot from episode 4? Who invented strange and unlike any of the characters? Similar questions sprang from all sides on the author. However, in his opinion, this was only the beginning.
Heroes kinoSagi woke up famous
Much more attention was drawn to the public premiere of the painting, which took place on May 25, 1977 in the Chinese theater. Right after it a real "star fever" broke out in the country: people shouted phrases from the film and wore costumes reminiscent of the appearance of the main characters.
According to rough estimates, the box office of the first film amounted to about 775,000,000 US dollars. Then came the paraphernalia with the image of the heroes: cups, pens, t-shirts, comics.
This time, almost no one was interested in why Star Wars began to be shot not from the first, but immediately from the fourth part. Fans tried to buy any small thing with a photo of their favorite character. And some of them even arranged a real hunt for the actors.
They waited for them after filming, pursued in shops, smashed improvised tent camps near their homes. In short, contrary to rumors and the words of ill-wishers, Lucas's affair has gone.
What is the sequence of the episode's output?
Fans of the saga demanded the continuation of the movie masterpiece "Star Wars" (who shot, you already know - George Lucas). And they did not have to wait long. The creator of the adventures of Luke Skywalker released first the fifth episode entitled "The Empire Strikes Back" in 1980, and then the sixth - "Return of the Jedi", in 1983.
Between 1999 and 2005, Lucas released a new trilogy. This was the first episode that was called "The Hidden Menace" (1999), the second was "Attack of the Clones" (released in 2002), and the third episode, called "Revenge of the Sith" (was filmed in 2005).
That's interesting, why "Star Wars" are not taken in order? And in what sequence is it better to watch them to people who have not seen any of the episodes before?
Starting in 2015, a new trilogy-sequel to the "Star Wars" starts. So, in 2015 there is a film "Awakening Force". In 2017, the premiere of the eighth is planned, and in the year of 2019 - the ninth episode.
In late 2016 is also planned to release a new episode of the trilogy-spin-off called "Outcast". In 2018, a film will be released, telling about the life of Han Solo, and in 2020 - about Bob Fet.
Why did they first shoot the 4 episode of "Star Wars", and then 1, 2, 3?
One of the reasons is the director's desire to remove the last parts of the epic as soon as possible.
According to George Lucas himself, he just really wanted to release a film, which deals with the flying Death Star, and it, as is known, appeared only in the fourth part. That's why "Star Wars" are not shot in order.
According to another version, there was no single script as such. He literally "wrote on his knee." Did it completely different people. Once Lucas had to urgently intercept the initiative, as the scriptwriter of the episode "The Empire Strikes Back" suddenly died.
How did Star Wars, episode 4, shoot?
The shooting process deserves special attention. According to eyewitnesses, the work on the picture was connected with enormous financial difficulties. In particular, the film company XX Century Fox, which agreed to the screen version of the picture of Lucas, was on the verge of bankruptcy at that time.
To pay the bills, I even had to lay the film. And George himself had to abandon his fee and agree only on the percentage of the sale of related products with the symbolism of the "Star Wars".
Unexpectedly for the whole crew, the actor who played Luke Skywalker got into a major car accident. His whole face was broken, and his nose literally had to be collected in pieces. Because of this, in some frames of the episode a professional understudy was involved.
In general, all the episodes turned out to be interesting and entertaining, although they were shot inconsistently. Therefore, you can watch them as you go out or from the first episode. Now you know everything about the Star Wars saga: who took it, wrote the script, how the first movie of the epic was filmed.
