Slightly salted salmon: a recipe for cooking

For any holiday or just a significant event, we make lists of the products we need to cover the table. And, interestingly, almost everyone on it is slightly salted salmon, the recipe of which is passed down from generation to generation.

Why prepare yourself? Why not buy ready-made fish? The answer is simple: very often manufacturers use a huge amount of synthetic additives and dyes when cooking salmon. So the fish is stored for a long time, and looks just wonderful and appetizing. Did you know that such supplements also increase the weight of salmon? Undoubtedly, it is profitable for the seller, but for the buyer it is absolutely useless.

While the slightly salted salmon is cooked, the piece loses a considerable amount of weight: 30-40%, so manufacturers add special impurities to it that have the ability to retain moisture. But they do not think that such impurities are very harmful to health.

Do not you think it's better to buy a chilled salmon fillet yourself and pick it yourself? Try it. After all salted salmon, the recipe of which is absolutely uncomplicated, very tasty dish.

It is not a secret to anyone that salmon is one of the most delicious and healthy fish. And most people like it is slightly salted salmon, the recipe of which is simple and does not require much effort. Specialists who have already salted a considerable amount of fish are advised to buy a whole carcass of salmon. It is much juicier and tastier than a simple fillet. As it turned out, the size of the fish also has an effect on the taste of the future dish: the larger the salmon, the more delicious it will be after cooking. Fish is best to choose the whole, without any damage, beautiful in appearance.

For salting, you can use absolutely any part of the salmon. If the fish has been frozen, be sure to thaw it. Then rinse and spread out along the ridge. Thus, you will get two equal parts, from which it will be fairly easy to remove the spine and bones. Now you have a salmon fillet, which is no worse than what you could buy in a store.

Two Simple Recipes

Try salting salmon for one very simple recipe, which can be done literally a few hours before the arrival of guests.

You will need:

- a kilogram of fresh salmon;

- a tablespoon of salt;

- a teaspoon of sugar;

- juice of one lemon.

All ingredients are designed for 6 servings.

Preparation:

Step one: split the fish. Remove all skin and bones. Armed with a sharp knife and cut the salmon across thin slices.

Step two: mix sugar and salt in a bowl. Stir everything.

Step three: put slices of salmon in a mold in one layer. Now sprinkle it with sugar and salt. Next, lay another layer of fish, and sprinkle a mixture of sugar and salt.

Step four: sprinkle each layer, laying the pieces as tightly as possible. When you lay the last layer, pour the fish with lemon juice.

Step five: put the shape with the fish for a couple of hours in a cold place.

Now slightly salted salmon, the recipe of which will be more complicated and will require more time.

Preparation:

Step one: mix the honey and sugar well.

Step two: mix sugar and salt in a bowl.

Step Three: Dump the fish from one side, then pour the remaining salt mixture onto a clean cloth and place the salted fish on top of it.

Step four: in this tissue you need to hardly replicate the fish, put it in a bowl and put it away for a few days in the fridge. The salmon will be cooked at least two days later. But know, the longer the fish is in the refrigerator, the more delicious it will turn out.

Step five: every day two times turn the fish over.

In addition to sugar and honey, you can add coriander, black pepper or basil. The result is a salted salmon. The recipe, as you see, is not too complicated, and such a fish will perfectly fit both as a separate dish, and as an addition to any food.
