History of the temple

The fate of the temple

The city of Miass was extremely important for Christians. Holy Trinity Church was originally intended only for the burial service of the deceased. That is why the Soviet authorities left it untouched, unlike the rest (24 churches were destroyed). From 1938 to 1944, the miassic temple of the Life-Giving Trinity was closed by decision of the Soviet government, but it was not destroyed. Church land was confiscated, and property for a long time passed from one source to another. In 1941, the building was adapted to a hostel for Asians who came to earn money at the construction site of a car factory in the city of Miass.

Holy Trinity Church in 1944 experienced a second birth and was again available to believers. For a long time it was the only temple in the district.

Over the years, the Sunday school opened for adults and children (1994). In 2000, the domes of the church were restored and new crosses were erected on them. In 2001, a bookstore opened here, where a huge assortment of Orthodox literature is still available. In 2004, the temple celebrated its 115th anniversary. By this date the bell tower was renovated and a whole ensemble of various bells was installed. Now there are 10 of them, as it was before.

Everyone who comes to the city of Miass, Holy Trinity Church notices first. To date, it stands out with an original color scheme, a combination of red and pink and blue. Next to it is located an ancient Miass cemetery.

The exact date of this burial site is unknown, but it is said that it existed before 1840. Originally, near the cemetery was built a chapel.
