Self-assembly of sliding gates

Any owner of a private house wants to turn it into a real fortress. In this case, a very important condition is the availability of reliable gates. In a large number of regions of our country, the use of conventional swing gates can be associated with some difficulties, such as, for example, clearing snow in the cold season. Therefore, it is more preferable to use a sliding gate.

In the case of self-installation of this type of gate, you need to conduct a number of actions, the first of which is to purchase a set for sliding gates. Further, a concrete base is made. So, let's get started. The first stage of such work as the installation of sliding gates is the marking of the pit for the concrete base. In its length, such a pit should protrude on both sides of the gate about half the width of the passage, and its width - about half a meter. The depth of the pit must be greater than the average index of the depth of freezing of the ground, that is, not less than 20 centimeters.

Further, a mortgage element is made and dropped into the pit, which consists of a channel, to which parts of the reinforcement are welded. Such a design is lowered into the pit by the reinforcement downwards so that the channel is located parallel to the future movement of the sliding gates. After this, one or two support posts are prepared, the dimensions of which should exceed the height of the foundation by not less than 5 centimeters. After completion of the preparation of the pillars, the pit is poured with concrete.

The next stage of such a procedure as the installation of sliding gates is the adjustment of roller bearings. Due to their rollback from the extreme open and closed position, the supporting profile is leveled.

After that, the end roller is inserted inside the supporting profile, and the fastening bolts are clamped. Then, from the back of the gate, a plug is welded to the bearing profile, which will protect it from various negative influences.

The next step is to install the guide bracket. To do this, the mounting of the bracket rollers is loosened, and it is mounted over the gate so that its rollers cover the upper part, and the guide bracket itself is directed to the opposite side from the support post. After determining the height of the mounts, the bracket is attached to the post.

After this, the sliding gate is sheathed. Typically, this procedure begins with the installation of the profiled sheet on the door frame. It begins with the front of the recoiling structure.
