Secondary special education

In the life of every teenager there comes a time when he has to make a very important decision - which one to choose a profession, and where to get the necessary education. Everyone understands that quality education is not just fundamental knowledge. It allows a person to take a worthy place in society, successfully solve his problems of the material plan, opens new opportunities, horizons, promotes the development of talents, abilities, achievement of success, the realization of any life plans.

Annually 9th and 11th grades are completed by thousands of schoolchildren. Some of them, while still sitting on the school bench, are determined with the choice of the future profession and educational institution. But many people think about this most complicated question for a long time.

Many decide to continue their studies in institutions focused on secondary specialized education. Today in the developed countries it is one of the main segments in educational systems. In Ukraine, too, should have such an attitude towards him. It is the secondary specialized education that can provide the greatest number of young people with the opportunity to quickly obtain prestigious work specialties, improve their qualifications, and then move on to the next educational level.

Why specifically specialized secondary education?

The last few years in our country there are very serious socio-economic changes. The industry is beginning to revive and develop, the sphere of services, small and medium business is growing. At the same time there is an overabundance of people with higher education. There are not enough young technicians, skilled workers, middle-level specialists. Although the wages of people who received secondary specialized education are higher than salaries of graduates of higher educational institutions by 2-3 times.

Another incontrovertible plus, secondary special education is, in comparison with higher education, a shorter period of study. It is more practice oriented and gives an opportunity for more rapid employment of graduates. Yes, and the requirements for the applicants themselves and for their level of knowledge are more democratic than when speaking in universities. But the most important thing is that it is available for virtually every stratum of the population and the region of the country.

Employees of the state employment services unanimously declare that, in fact, there are not enough young specialists in our labor market who have received working specialties. The demand for them is growing with every new day.

That is why in recent years, many various career-oriented activities have been held so often, the main goal of which is to familiarize schoolchildren with the main trends of the labor market.

To my great regret, according to statistics, it is far from always getting higher education, which, on top of everything else, requires considerable time and money investments, provides high-paying jobs. That is why it makes sense to pay attention not only to the prestige of a specialty or a certain institution, but also to think about how much you will be in demand in 5-6 years.

In any case, regardless of whether you choose secondary or higher education, the most important thing is to choose a profession that will appeal to you. After all, if there is no interest and zeal, it is impossible to achieve success in any of the industries. Choosing the future profession, ask the question - "What work for me will become a holiday, and not a heavy duty?".

If you succeeded in answering it, do not hesitate to ignore the stereotypes imposed by society. A happy person, a successful worker, does not have to be a graduate of the most prestigious university in all possible ratings. He may well get a secondary special education.
