Rowanberry rowanberry. Array or solitary solution

Decorative deciduous shrub native to Siberia and the Far East, mountain ashberry, one of the first spring is covered with foliage, reminiscent of the leaves of the fern. It is especially beautiful when flowering, which lasts a whole month. Large white whisks exude an aroma that attracts all kinds of insects. This is an excellent honey plant. Autumn colors the leaves in yellow-purple hues. At this time of the year the mountain ashberry is extremely attractive.
Its name was due to the similarity with the tree of the same name. This is a fairly large plant, easily multiplying by root offspring, if not to limit its growth, quickly fills a large area. Due to the fact that it has a high growth rate and can reach 3 meters both in height and width, it is often used for hedges. It's good to plant it on the slopes of ravines - interlacing roots will prevent the destruction of the soil. It comes from cold places, mountain ashberry can be cultivated in regions with different climatic conditions. It is best suited for planting in spacious city parks.

The life span is only 20 years, but the rapid growth of the plant allows you to get a full-bodied shrub in 3-4 years.
Rowanberry rowanberry (photos presented in the article) does not need thorough care, feels good both in the sun and in the shade, prefers fertile soils, suffers prolonged frosts, some flooding, gas contamination and dustiness of city streets. In droughty weather, watering is necessary. To maintain ornamentation, the mountain ashberry rowan requires regular cutting (especially dry inflorescences).

Saplings, obtained from root layers or cuttings, easily take root in sunny areas. If necessary, you can put them in the shade. To make the bushes more dense, without the needles, you should remove a part of the shoots and perform the pruning. Seed propagation is possible, but with an abundance of planting material this method is considered inexpedient.
Usually, in the landscape design of small household plots, a rowanberry rowan-like "Sam" is used. Not so long ago, the emerging variety has gained popularity among gardeners in that it has smaller dimensions (0.8-1 m) and not so actively grows. Fences, group or solitary planting - everything is applicable for a new bush.

A distinctive feature is the roundness of the crown and its compact dimensions. If you limit the growth of roots, then the mountain ash can also be used on large flower beds. The green-yellow color of its leaves will be in harmony with luscious greens or Bordeaux plants . Very interesting will look curbs and arrays, if you cut the bushes horizontally to a height of half a meter three times a season.

Because of the great moisture resistance, the mountain ash can be planted next to the artificial pond. Leaning towards the water, the leaves will create a harmonious landscape, from which you do not want to look away.

The advantage of this type is resistance to various pests and diseases.
