Review: The best RPGs of all time

Today we will talk about the three winners, which entered the category "Best RPGs of All Time". But first of all, you need to say at least a couple of words directly about the genre. Gone are the days when the best (RPG including) computer entertainment was where the developers "piled" more monotonous missions in a hurry. Technologies do not stand still, and like the whole gaming industry, genres are developing - each in its own way. But let's get down to business. And let's finally find out about those nominees who will compete for the title "The best RPGs of all time ...".

Third place

Opens the top three, undoubtedly, the best RPG game in the style of "space fantasy" Mass Effect. And it would be correct to include in this list all three parts of the game, as this trilogy produced in its time a real sensation in the gaming industry. And it's not so much in an interesting quest system or a smartly worked out idea of pumping a character, but in the total freedom of choice that the game gives us. Do you want to be a villain or good-natured? Please, it's not new. Do you want to be a woman or a man? Noble or evil? Greedy or generous? A patriot of the human race or tolerant of all? Yes, what can I say, if in the game even sexual orientation can be chosen at will! In general, Mass Effect is a worthy representative of the series, which, undoubtedly, is worth attention and the time that you spend on passing, because in return you will get a lot of emotions!

Second place

The second place in the nomination "Best RPGs of all time" is taken by a series of games Dragon Age. First of all, thanks to a lot of interesting and intricate missions, turning the game into a real detective. And also for the complex, but very functional system of tactical control of each character of the group separately. A wide selection of weapons and armor, combat spells and other gameplay moments, coupled with a well engineered engine and a huge game world, create an unforgettable experience that makes Dragon Age pass again and again!

First place

Strangely enough, even the best RPGs of all time are inferior to the old games, which, it would seem, are about to be forgotten, but, alas, the legends are not forgotten so easily! "Fable: Lost Chapters" is the story of a boy whose family dies at the very beginning of the narrative. Fate promises him to become a hero, but that's what side he will take depends entirely on you! Just a chic story, an interesting and colorful game world - no doubt, Fable deserves the first place in the nomination. To be a hero, bright and pure, like an angel, or an evil horned (in the literal sense) demon lurking in the night, it's up to you. Personal life, hairstyles, tattoos, armor and clothing, a huge selection of weapons, homes - do not count all that you can do in Fable!

Summing up

Speaking about computer games in general, it's hard not to notice the tendency to gradual "withering away" of smart games, where you could spend hours only one mission. But while the genre of RPG is alive, there will be hope that there will always be a suitable toy for warming up the brains!
