Most likely, you have a single-lever mixer in your kitchen, as today it is the simplest and most reliable mechanism. But nothing is eternal. The mixer broke, and the dripping water is very irritating. Hence, it is impossible to do without repair. To eliminate the unnerving factor, you only need to change the cartridge.

Beginning the repair of the single-lever mixer, first of all, it is necessary to cut off the water. With reliable water supply valves, repair of the mixer will not be difficult. In this case, replace the worn out cartridge. This is done as follows.

A plastic cap closing the opening is taken out, in which there is a screw fixing the handle of the cartridge. Screw in the locking screw and remove the handle of the mixer.

Then remove the decorative and union nuts. Remove the worn out cartridge, and replace it with a new one. We twist the union nut, and then the decorative nut. We put the handle on the lever of the cartridge and tighten the screw fixing it. Within a short time, we have renovated the single-lever mixer.

When buying a cartridge, do not forget to make sure that it fits the mixer that you have installed.

Well-known and faucet faucets. They are perfectly adapted to our conditions, and to be more precise, to our hard and chlorine-rich water. Repair of such mixers is usually reduced to the replacement of rubber seals when the tap gives a leak. In practice, there are also such cases as the erasure of the thread, the presence of a crack, as well as other breakdowns.

The main cause of breakage of the mixer is foreign particles that settle between the valve and the stuffing box. These microscopic inclusions break the gasket, and the tap starts to flow water.

In this case, it is necessary to replace the gasket, eliminate contamination or replace the valve.

Do not forget that before disassembling any faucet you need to cut off the water.

When repairing the mixer for the kitchen, first remove the bracket, which is put on the pusher rod and screwed. Remove the worn gasket with a sharp object. We install a new gasket in its place. We put the bracket in place and tighten the screw. Before opening the water of the main network, it is necessary to close the corrected mixer.

In case of thread erasure, the inside of the crane must be completely replaced.

The crane will last longer if you adhere to the elementary rules of operation. Do not close it very tight. Without calculating the force, you can twist the valve or thread of the crane.

It should be remembered that opening the crane by half a turn, you must also close it by half a turn.
