What are the relations of the sexes? The question, which initially seems so simple, later confounds. Thoughts that come to mind are weakly formed into words, not to mention the excellent wording.

Male and female beginning

A man and a woman are the most banal and at the same time the most mysterious tandem. They embody the idea of the opposite in nature. But at the same time they reflect its unity. Not surprisingly, such a mystery, lying in sight, could not be so easily missed.

To the above-mentioned idea, Greek mythology has been repeatedly applied. Much attention has been paid to it from the Chinese side: the famous yin and yang symbolize just the same female and masculine beginnings, respectively.

Usually they represent women's nature as passive-natural, while men's are social-creative, which is demonstrated by yin and yang. However, we should not forget that a man and woman, black and white, night and day, darkness and light - despite their dissimilarity, give the perfect combination.

Binary Symbolism

Already the above examples make it clear that the binary nature of the world is an indisputable fact. Mankind uses the idea of duality in its favor: take at least machine (computer) code. It is a binary sequence of numbers. Curiously, taking duality as the basis of many sciences, people still fail to understand its most important sources to the end.

Androgyny

Many ancient mythologies, in addition to contrasting and unifying the feminine and masculine, have widely considered the concept of androgyny, two-cavity. In China, yin and yang were never perceived as something isolated: even medicine was built on the principle that in each human body there is enough of both particles. Just some of them prevail over others. Nowadays it results in the theory of masculinity and femininity: in spite of the fact that the first corresponds more to a man, and the second - to a woman, each person in different proportions shows both qualities (properties).

Destroy the usual ideas

The problems of the mutual relation of the sexes are understandable from the point of view of logic: how can things that are opposed to one another so easily converge? This is proved by the purely domestic side of life. It is stereotypically assumed that some classes / qualities / traits are closer to a woman, and some to a man. Now, when the ideas of masculinity / femininity and their correlation with the sexes are being revised, many speculations have to be dropped for lack of evidence. The study of gender identity has now reached a high level, and it is not limited to simple "I feel like a man (or woman)."

Love as a link

Almost half of the article is devoted to the opposite of yin and yang. About their unity is said only a couple of times, inadvertently, although this is a fact. All of the above just confirms how complex the connections between a man and a woman are and what is the problem of gender relations. What makes the two opposites come together?

The basis on which gender relations are maintained is love. She is responsible for overcoming mistrust, fear of the unknown and the new. Unfortunately (or fortunately), this is not a feeling that can be described in several words. Love is always complex and multifaceted. But it always contains respect, trust and understanding. That is why the moral attitude of the sexes is the basis of normal family life, and later - the healthy development of society.

Moral culture of the relationship of the sexes

Morality is easy to question. Morality as an installation is just a fiction of people, which can evolve or degrade, in other words, change in one direction or another. Therefore, the moral culture of the relationship between the sexes is too difficult to solve the problem. It is studied by sociologists and psychologists: in general and in each case separately.

The projection on reality

The relationship between the sexes is regulated by many factors. Among them there are external and internal. These factors are also interrelated among themselves.

External influence on the part of society and public opinion forms in a person's mind a relation to one or another sex. Pouring into stereotypes, the problems experienced by gender relations can be caused by the fact that one partner does not correspond to the image built on the basis of the idea of masculinity / femininity in the mind of another partner.

Features of the psyche

Socio-cultural conditions have to the fact that distrust of the opposite sex, resulting from the characteristics of the psyche, is increasing. Historical traditions successfully divided the feminine and masculine parts, emphasizing their dissimilarity in clothing and manners of behavior. The modern world is not so inclined to this, but still pamp on stereotypes. And distrust, which comes from childhood and subconsciousness, though it is smoothed out in adulthood because of attraction, interest and development of one's own thinking, but continues to influence the relations of the sexes not in the best way.

Pressure of society

This has already been mentioned in the article earlier. The society can act as one of the factors of external influence on the relations of the sexes. In what problems can this result?

If the environment does not recognize the manifestation of femininity in males or, on the contrary, in women's representatives - masculinity, a person can not fully develop in accordance with his mental state. Needless to say, without self-realization, it will not be able to build healthy relationships?

Specificity of solutions to the problem

The problem of the attitude of the sexes is solved in each concrete case, proceeding from the psychological characteristics of the partners.

External factors are studied and regulated by sociological research, following which experts take certain decisions to improve relations between the sexes in a separate socio-cultural environment. They remain an urgent problem and a central topic for discussion because of their impact on social development in principle.
