Primer "Concrete contact": application and properties

Those who made repairs with their own hands, will understand that the primer "Betonokontakt" is a real find for plastering. Often when working on smooth surfaces it is very difficult to achieve good adhesion of the plaster to the wall or ceiling. In this case, it is advisable to use a special material.

Primer "Betonokontakt" is a plaster adhesive on acrylic basis. Its purpose is to pre-treat smooth, dense, moisture-repellent surfaces. The structure of construction materials includes: sand, acrylic, as well as polymer fillers. When using the mass, the task is to ensure the best adhesion of a solid surface with plaster.

Ground "Concrete contact" due to its characteristics improves the structural properties of smooth surfaces, ceiling concrete massive slabs, plasterboard, blocks, monolith. During subsequent processing, it is permissible to use gypsum, lime, cement and other types of plaster solutions. Before laying a new layer of old paint, varnish, lacquer, ceramic tile, glass will also require processing "Concrete contact". Experts advise to apply the primer to the ceiling before painting, which will prevent shedding.

Primer "Concrete contact" has the following characteristics. The material improves adhesion to smooth surfaces. The mass has ecological compatibility, water resistance, safety in relation to people, animals and plants. The primer is resistant to moisture, it does not smell, it dries quickly.

After using "Betonocontact" the surface becomes rough and ready for further work. Various companies are engaged in the production of the primer. The most demanded material from "Ceresite", "Knauf", "Bolars". All products have a similar formula and have almost identical properties: wear resistance, moisture resistance, fire safety, antiseptic qualities.

Acrylic primer "Concrete contact" is packed in plastic buckets with a capacity of 3 to 50 kilograms. The color of the material is traditionally pink in color. Quality mixture should be homogeneous. Primer is applied to the previously cleaned surface with a brush or roller. Before use, the mixture must be thoroughly stirred up by raising the sand that has settled on the bottom. The material dries four hours after application, after which it is possible to continue finishing work.

The priming consumption is approximately about half a kilogram per square meter and depends on the size of the fractions of the solution. As practice shows, the expected effect of the treatment is achieved already when applying one layer of material.

After laying the mixture in the future, you can safely use a perforator or drill to make holes: the plaster will remain in its place. This is impossible on an untreated surface, which can crumble in a radius of several dozen centimeters.
