Poem "Railway": analysis. "Railway", Nekrasov

In this article we will consider a poem written by Nikolai Alekseevich in 1864, we will carry out his analysis. "Railway" (Nekrasov) - a work that is poetic not only because of the brightness of the created paintings, the charms of landscapes. It is so primarily because the quality of poetry is an internal measure by which everything is evaluated in this work.

Landscape in the poem

The landscape depicted in the poem is poetry of a special kind. The author refers to the period - autumn, and together with it uses the phrase "vigorous air" - a bold claim, which, it seems, breaks the connection with the tradition of describing this time of the year in Russian poetry. Nature, calling it to sleep, and not to sleep, is worth a lot. Tired man like a man wants to relax, go into nature. But not in order to find bliss in truth, but simply to sleep.

Sphere of poetic

At the same time, the sphere of poetry does not disappear, on the contrary, it expands. In the surrounding world everything is depicted lyrically, even uncharacteristic for the tradition of objects: moss hummocks and stumps, ice, "like melting sugar." The verse of Nekrasov is open to nature. Not only inside the car, but already outside it, we swallow the healing air, which invigorates the "tired forces". Near the forest one can get a good sleep, as if "in a soft bed" - here the communion to nature is almost physical, not in Tiutchev's high sense, but in the most direct, immediate, but high in its own way. Nekrasov does not prose poetic, but, on the contrary, poeticizes all prose. He says that everywhere he recognizes "dear Russia" - as if he absorbs it into himself.

Composition of the work

Let's continue our analysis. The "railway" (Nekrasov) is divided into several parts. In the first of them the description of nature is tuned to the perception of its significance. In the introduction, the motives and intonations of the folk song are heard. Here - "a student's river", "native Russia". The people who will speak about themselves soon afterwards are already represented here. Through the poet and in it he declares himself.

Unity of parts

It is necessary to note the inner unity of the first and second parts of this work. This is not a contrast, as one might think. Both pictures are poetic. A wonderful dream, seen by Vanya, is a liberating conditionality, which makes it possible to observe many things that you will not find in everyday life. This motif was often used in the domestic literature and up to Nekrasov. Let us recall, for example, Chernyshevsky and Radishchev. In Nikolai Alekseevich, the dream ceases to be merely a conditional motive. It is a striking phenomenon, where the realistic images are unusually and boldly combined with poetic impressionism. This dream is not described to reveal some subconscious states, but it does not cease to be a subconscious phenomenon in and of itself. What is happening, it takes place to be in a dream, more precisely, in an atmosphere of unusual half-dementia. The narrator talks about something all the time, and the boy sees something with his child's disturbed imagination, and much more than what was told to him. Vanya's interlocutor talks about bones, and here they are, as if in a romantic fairy tale, revived; Tells about the hard life of some people, and they sang a terrible song to the boy. Recovered, awakened, Vanya can not understand where the reality is, and where the dream is.

The Motive of Sleep in a Work

We continue our analysis. The "railway" (Nekrasov) is a work in which the motive of sleep is not accidentally included. The boy's dream was already prepared partly by the landscape of entry, this moonlit night. Element of its description also appears in the second part. "The radiance of the moon" will repeat exactly, anticipating a dream.

The poet Nekrasov does not allow, however, Nekrasov the painter to add to the work of any superfluous paint, because he aspires to the concentration, almost hypnotic, of his poems.

Together with the boy we are immersed in the atmosphere of half-dementedness, half-sleep. The story is built not only as a narrative about the life truth, but also as a fairy tale addressed to Vanya.

Hence the fabulous scale and artlessness of the very first images of the work: the work is huge, he alone is not on the shoulder, there is a king in a world that is ruthless, and he is called hunger.

Sleep Balladness

There's no sleep here. Only the train, the road, the slumbering boy, and now the poet for the only time interrupts the story, connecting to it the rhythm of the road, it seems to put him to sleep, after which Vanin's dream begins, which is described as a ballad. Dead men with teeth grinding, strange song, moon - accessories characteristic for ballad poetics. They in the first stanzas thicken and thereby increase the feeling of sleep, as shown by the analysis of the work "Railway" (Nekrasov). It emphasizes the ballad, as if declaring a high romantic tradition, within the framework of which there will be a story about the people turning into a song.

Two people

We continue our analysis. "Railway" (Nekrasov) - a work in which two people are shown, and, accordingly, given two different attitudes towards it. There is indignation, but at the same time, emotion. The people are described in both the moral poetic essence and slavish passivity, which causes the author bitter irony.

Analysis of the poem "The Railroad" (Nekrasov) allows us to say that the image of the people revealed in a dream is unusually large and tragic. With the story of the Byelorussian, his description, he acquires a seemingly impassive dryness, in which the premise of a new explosion, lyrical pathos is enclosed. The sketch ends with the words that he did not straighten his back, is silent and mechanically chops the frozen ground with a shovel. This work is called "noble". But what seems at first glance to be a logical inconsistency, drowns in a flood of enthusiasm by the people's labor, it shows that the author is far away in this enthusiasm and thinks little about exposing the people.

Analysis of the verse "Railway" Nekrasov thus shows that the first part of the work describes the reality, in the second - a dream, but there is also something that unites them: it is the poetry of nature, perceived in a popular way, the poetry of achievement and suffering. In the third part again the reality. The awakening is unexpected, the transition is harsh. It is not spoken about. We are just awakened by sounds, whistles, "screamed". The dream is broken, but his poetry is preserved.

This concludes our analysis of the poem "Railway" (Nekrasov). We have singled out only the main points. Think about the work yourself, and you probably will find other interesting features of this poem, and will be able to conduct your own analysis. "Railway" (Nekrasov), grade 6 of the school - this is the first acquaintance with the work. At this time the biography of the author, some of the artistic features of the poem, has not been studied in detail. But over time, we begin to understand this creation more deeply, conducting its analysis. "Railway" (Nekrasov) - grade 7 of the school is a detailed examination, at the level of the curriculum. But after many years, opening a collection of Nikolai Alekseevich, we read his lines in a new way.
