Paracetamol for breastfeeding

Everyone knows that nursing mothers are contraindicated to take many medications, since virtually all components of a drug penetrate directly into the milk and can subsequently cause the child to have certain disorders. In the case when the temperature rises, the drug "Paracetamol" when breast-feeding is acceptable.

Since the common cold is the most common and common disease in pregnant and breast-feeding women, it is possible to lower the fever only with those drugs that are not contraindicated in this period, or by folk methods.

Often, there are situations when it is impossible to do without taking any medications. Sometimes enough and a single dose or a short course of treatment, and sometimes requires a long-term use of drugs. And with the increase in temperature, of course, a woman is interested in the question of how to get rid of the heat and is it safe "Paracetamol" when breastfeeding?

It should be noted that there are not so many studies on the extent of the influence of medications used by nursing mothers on the child's organism. And in most cases they are simply absent. Often, there is even no evidence of whether the drug penetrates into breast milk.

That is why most instructions, as a rule, have a clause in which it is said that the use of the drug is not recommended, primarily because of the lack of adequate research. But "Paracetamol" in lactation is not contraindicated, since it refers to those drugs that are on the list of studied (more or less) drugs that can be used during breastfeeding.

In spite of the fact that paracetamol penetrates into breast milk to an insignificant degree, it is recommended to take it nevertheless with caution, only on indications, strictly observing doses and watching at the same time for the condition of the baby. If there is a pronounced negative effect on the child's condition, it is better to stop the application altogether.

The drug "Paracetamol" during feeding should be taken in the usual dose until complete recovery. As a rule, the use of this medicine should not last more than two to three days. The optimal dose is 1 tablet up to 3-4 times a day. Exceed the dose or duration of use is contraindicated, since there is a risk of an adverse toxic effect on the blood and liver.

"Paracetamol" is the drug that is most often taken in everyday life and does not belong to very toxic drugs that cause a significant toxic effect on tissues and organs. That is why breastfeeding with medication can be continued.

In the case when the mother takes "Paracetamol" while breastfeeding, it is necessary to choose the optimal scheme of alternation of feeding and taking the drug. To do this, you need to determine when the drug in the blood is in the highest concentration (usually indicated in the instructions). At this time and in milk its concentration will be maximum.

It follows that it is necessary to take the drug so that the feeding time does not coincide with the periods of the highest concentration of the drug in the blood. But there is an alternative to tablets - candles. "Paracetamol" in this form, according to doctors, does not penetrate into breast milk.

"Paracetamol" when breastfeeding is a universal tool for lowering the temperature. And, importantly, quite effective. If the nursing mother does not want to take any medications, the temperature can be reduced with the help of folk remedies. After all, you should always consider that even the smallest side effects caused by paracetamol, can also occur in the child.

At elevated temperatures it is recommended to follow the general rules of behavior - do not knock it down until the indicator does not exceed 38.5 degrees. Mainly because it is then the body produces its own interferon, which fights infection. You should also make sure that the room was a bit cool. At the same time, one should not be wrapped up and should lie more.
