Panoramic lift: types, design, dimensions. Passenger lift

The use of various materials in the manufacture of various structures is conditioned by the requirements for reliability, safety and aesthetic appeal. And if the need to obtain a strong and durable product is almost the primary in all industries, then, for example, designer delights may be superfluous. In turn, the panoramic elevator, which is also called the survey, demonstrates an example of the optimal combination and strength characteristics, and external attractiveness. Such designs fit organically into the interiors of respectable business centers, hotels, large terminals, shopping and entertainment complexes.

Panoramic elevator constructions

Despite the limitations on the use of materials that should provide visibility, the designers of models of such elevators offer a huge range of solutions. The variety of constructions is explained by the wide possibilities of architectural and design execution of the cabin. So, today we use the use of simple semicircular walls, rectangular and rhomboid shapes. At the same time, classical square models are used less and less often because of their triviality. There are different approaches to the implementation of glazing. For example, panoramic elevators, whose construction has semicircular lines of walls, must necessarily be equipped with metal panels at the rear. However, projects with direct parties allow full glazing on all sides - as a rule, four. There are also various solutions in terms of output location. There may be several, and they are not always placed in the center of the output side.

Lift Characteristics

The main parameter that determines the operational capabilities of the elevator is the load capacity. On average, this figure varies from 500 to 1000 kg. Wide and range of overall dimensions. The width and length of the cabin can be from 100 to 200 cm or more. Again, this is an average indicator, since special versions can be much more massive. The size of the panoramic elevator in the opening of the exit, which can be 80-100 cm wide, also depends on the main parameters. In addition, engineers pay more and more attention to the high-speed parameters of the cabins and the possibility of moving at an angle. Modern elevators of this type can develop about 120 km / h, while maintaining compliance with stringent safety requirements. As for the possibilities of working under the slope, the shafts can be located at an angle of 70-80 degrees.

Materials used

Although outwardly even partially the survey lift seems completely made of glass, in fact, in its general construction, the basis is represented by metal structures. As a rule, these are special steel alloys with stainless coatings, which form the bearing platform. At the same time, for external appeal, the protruding sides of the metal are often covered with polished brass, which gives the construction a more solid look. Glass deserves special attention. Even in simple modifications, the panoramic elevator is made of high-strength and thick sheets, fixed to the platform. The strength of glazing is the main characteristic of the structure, but other qualities of the material are also important. Glass should be fireproof, sealed, shockproof and in some cases, soundproofed.

Varieties

There are several signs of separation of panoramic elevator structures, but the most important is the type of lifting system. There are hydraulic, vacuum and electric models. A hydraulic mechanism is considered to be traditional, providing a high degree of safety and noiselessness. The advantages of electrical modifications are mainly the dynamics of displacement. As a rule, these are high-speed models, which are advantageous for use in modern buildings of high altitude. Quite promising and new vacuum types of panoramic elevators, to the characteristics of which can be attributed to the compactness of the structure. This is an innovative principle for the implementation of elevator systems, but it does not yet have a wide spread due to the high cost.

Communication Support

The originality of the design of survey elevators inevitably entails the need to implement appropriate security in terms of comfort. Already in the basic designs, a heating system, ventilation ducts and lighting are provided. Posting of communication equipment is realized through special protected mines with obligatory connection of emergency power supply systems. A more sophisticated passenger elevator also provides for multimedia complexes and video surveillance.

Pros and cons of the panoramic elevator

The wide spread of survey elevators indicates that, of course, they have more positive aspects. Basically, these are aesthetic advantages, among which there is a spectacular design, the possibility of panoramic inspection and small dimensions. In addition, some models benefit from traditional metal structures due to low noise and no vibrations. At the same time, the passenger elevator with an open view through the transparent glass gives psychological comfort to people who suffer from claustrophobia.

As for the shortcomings, they are all shifted to the direct developers and owners of such elevators. First, the designer is still within certain limits, which are determined by the need to use triplex high-strength glass and reinforced mechanical fittings, which maintains the required level of reliability. Secondly, such designs are much more expensive when buying, and in the process of maintenance during operation.

Installation of panoramic elevators

The very installation of the elevator is the least labor-intensive operation. The main work in the project implementation relates to the installation of the mine. It should be envisaged at the design stage of the building, although external exterior elevator frames can be integrated even after the construction of the building. The space of the mine is in the enclosure of a metal box. The walls are carefully sanded and equipped with the necessary lifting equipment. After this, using a bracket and installed a panoramic elevator with related equipment. The installation is carried out on the guide rails and assumes a reliable fixation of the cabin to the hydraulic cylinder or other lifting system.

Conclusion

Despite the high cost of panoramic models of elevators, their use fully justifies from a financial point of view. As studies show, buildings, centers and terminals with such equipment have a higher traffic of visits. And it is not necessary to consider a panoramic elevator as an attractive means of moving in a building. Even a visitor who does not use the elevator, its very presence in the overall interior causes positive emotions. A glass cabin with an unusual shape, with skillful integration into the stylistic ensemble of the spatial environment, introduces a special aesthetic tint, which also enhances the overall prestige of the building.
