On Whom Do We Work?

The crisis that swept the planet is a symptom of ailing economy. Globalization and industrialization contributes to the development of the economy and simultaneously increases the number of unemployed, which in turn reduces the purchasing power, and causes tangible damage to the same economy. But does not contradict the logic that the system is struggling with itself? That the current system could continue to exist, the constant growth of economy is necessary. The growth of the economy implies an increase in production and consumption. The growth of production requires more resources, which are far from limitless. Consumption is stimulated by the constant infusion of money into the economies of states through lending. Any sensible person understands that this can not go on forever.

Joke:

Journalists came to the construction site to shoot a story about the construction of the house:
The builder takes a nail and hammers it with five blows into the wall.
Then he strikes another 95 times already on the already clogged nail.
Journalists, in shock:
- Why did you do this?
- I have to work hard to earn a lot!

Work two hours a week

Ecology and transport

One with a bipod, seven with a spoon

Folk wisdom understates the situation, in fact, with a spoon, thirteen and a half people.

Industrialization in the modern world is such that all the material goods that we now have, provide only 5% of the total number of working population. What are the other people doing? These are artificially created jobs. With the exception of cultural and art scientists, these people are a chain of intermediaries between producers and consumers of goods. And also those who check these intermediaries, check, guard, license, monitor those who check and all recheck. Ie if these people stop working, there will be no material benefits. But these people also need to earn something, they also have families, they also need to live somehow.

Robots take work from us

Since the beginning of the twentieth century, the number of jobs in production has been declining, factories are becoming increasingly automated and fewer workers are needed. This is accompanied by protest actions, trade unions demand to stop the lawlessness of corporations and give people work. The movement against globalization, the goods of the sea, is widening, and there is nothing to buy them for. But against progress it is useless to struggle and these people are looking for work where they have to or live on benefits. And their children are forced to spend their years mastering the wisdom of the profession of any real economist or financier. To then join the army of middlemen or bookkeepers. And what to do, because they, too, will need to earn somewhere.

Chains from the head, imprisoned

Human thinking is arranged so that we constantly build logical chains. The majority of the population in the world think like this:

I want to have many good things: an apartment, a car, education for children, in general prosperity.

All this costs money - then I need money.

Where can I get money?

Money pays for work - that means I need a job.

To buy everything I want, I need a lot of money - then you need to work hard or earn a lot.

This thinking is inherent in man since ancient times. To get a piece of meat you need: go hunting, kill the beast, cut the carcass ...

But the world has changed, but human thinking does not exist. We still try to build logical chains, and we ourselves fetter ourselves with these chains.

What do we really want?

Most people do not understand what they really want, they demand what they do not want. This leads us to an outdated type of thinking. Let's figure it out. Suppose a person wants a new car, but requires that he be given the opportunity to stand for 8 hours at the machine so that he can earn. He wants one thing, but he needs another. In fact, a person does not want a job, not money, but a car. The machine can create an automatic conveyor, it employs ten people and produces ten thousand cars a year. But it turns out that these ten people in the case and the rest remained out of work, and therefore can not afford to buy the product.

What to do?

Many, many work

It seems that everything is there, there are cars, there are those who wish to receive them. But they are hindered by the lack of money.

Deal free? But what about those ten at the plant, they work there, and you are ready for everything.

Not good at it. And then the remaining people out of work found a way out! They decided to work hard doing nothing. And so it was "fascinating" it turned out, to do nothing that did not have time for the family, children, friends, their interests, there was no time to live! It is very urgent to do a lot of things! If you think about and carefully calculate everything, it turns out that in order to have everything that we have now, and even more, we need to work as little as possible. This seemingly paradoxical statement can easily be confirmed by figures and facts that will be understandable even to people far from economics.

Work two hours a week

It seems absurd, but that you can earn as much as you earn now, you only need to work two hours a week, or nine hours a month, or two weeks a year. At the same time, the level of world industry will remain at the same level. How can this be? As mentioned earlier, only five percent of the total population is employed in the production sector, these are people who stand near the machines, work in the fields, build and repair. In general, create and maintain in working order all that surrounds us. Ie only five percent of people provide one hundred percent of the population with everything necessary. If we translate this into a single person, it turns out that he is engaged in a useful job for society only five percent of his working time. Now we take forty hours of work, we take away from it ninety five percent of useless work 40-95% = 2 hours, there are only two hours of useful employment. For example, you may need only 1 day a month to look after the automatic plant, to direct the combine, or to work at a construction site, depending on the qualification.

And what about the service industry?

The service sector does provide jobs to a huge number of citizens in the industrialized countries. Of course, it will not disappear at all, but it will decrease significantly.

If to reflect, the most part of sphere of service, serves not us and with you but serves all the same intermediaries. And some of the jobs in it are saved in order not to increase the level of unemployment. Scanner at the exit from the supermarket, can read codes from the goods you took from the shelves and write off the funds from your account. When everything is complete and everything is still, crime will sharply decline, there will simply not be reasons for the commission of most crimes. From this follows the reduction of police and other law enforcement agencies.

If you think that working for two hours a week is too much

Yes, yes, not a little, but a lot. The current level of production, dispersed to suit the needs of ailing economy, is already many times greater than it really is. All countries are struggling to make their economy grow, factories produce more goods, people earn more and buy more. In fact, the current level of production of consumer goods can be reduced at times. Collapse production of weapons and military equipment. Then the necessary and already miserable work can be reduced to two if not more.

How to reduce production without damaging the consumer sector?

Many of us are sure that every year scientific progress is moving forward, and so we will still have to constantly buy new things in the replacement of old ones. This is undoubtedly so. But in part, innovations are restrained artificially, so that tomorrow you can sell a new model of the phone, you need to put something new into it. Some of the already well-known developments of the designs are followed by the manufacturers, so that their future products look more attractive against the background of the past. There is a tendency to reduce the quality and durability of the produced devices, because after all, in a couple of years they will be at the dump, then why make them reliable. In other words, our diseased economy is deliberately producing bad things for landfills. If you stop artificial deterrence of technologies, abolish licensing of inventions, stop the war of standards and formats, things will become many times better, and they will not need to be changed so often.

This will benefit the average consumer and the ecology of the planet, but not the economy.

Ecology and transport

If you remove the factor of the pursuit of profit from the system of creating material goods, you can significantly reduce the burden on the ecology of the planet. Because of the need to constantly produce and sell, the modernization factor is excluded or excluded from many industries. For example, to increase the performance of your computer, you do not need to buy a new computer entirely, just change the processor, or buy a memory unit. But, for example, to get a more powerful or vice versa more economical car, you have to send to the dump a half tons of iron and plastic. The production of a new car for you, will require a lot of labor. And the environment will be damaged and the production of new and utilization of the old car. And what did you end up with? Just a more powerful or more economical engine, plus a number of small improvements. What could be if the cars were made with the possibility of modernization: a new smart suspension came on sale - buy a suspension bracket, go badly - change the engine, tired old body - buy a new one and put it on your previously bought steep suspension with a powerful engine. You get everything you want, pay only for what you need, it's cheaper for you and useful for the environment.

So who are we still working for?

The modern economy requires more and more work from us, makes us work without stopping to spit on everything, including ourselves. In exchange, it supplies us with garbage for garbage, instead of good things, along the way spending in the empty resources of the planet and destroying the ecology.

But despite all this, we continue to work for this system.

The modern level of development of mankind is able to give us all that we have now, and even much more, better and more environmentally friendly. Requiring in replacement only 1 day per month, or two weeks per year to do the work necessary for us.

PS In order to live in such seemingly fantastic conditions, we already have everything. It is only necessary to change the way of thinking and understand what we really want.
