On the threshold of deep old age, or Old age

Paradoxically, we are beginning to grow old from the moment of our birth. First, we call this process growth, then - growing up. The concept of age is associated with periods of human life. And now comes a time when we realize that old age is very close. The first impulse is resistance, an indefatigable desire to stop this process. Even realizing the inevitability of old age, people are still frantically searching for a magic remedy for it.

One wise man said: "Let's not shorten our lives to begin with, and then we'll start looking for ways to extend it." That is the rule and guided in their activities by the healers of the East. People do not have the opportunity not to grow old, but they are able to grow old beautifully. Old age does not mean a decrepit age.

Gerontologists say that senile infirmity and age-related illnesses were not included in the program of aging. And if a person lived in accordance with the laws of nature, then he would live to two hundred years. At the same time, an elderly person could perform his main functions normally. This is the case in the wild. Animals, until death, are able to feed themselves and reproduce their offspring, besides, their appearance is not subject to senile deformities.

Why is it wrong with us?

Science has identified two types of aging: physiological and pathological. The first type was described above. But pathological aging is caused by diseases - which we see around us. But you can fight it! Man does not know what hidden reserve he has. In principle, we do not know our body and treat it badly, for which we pay with decrepitude and premature death.

Three factors affect the rate of aging:

1. Human genes. Information we receive from our ancestors

2. Social conditions. The level of development of society has a very strong effect on life expectancy. In countries with a high level of development, the life style of older people is practically the same as that of people in middle age. Old age is not a hindrance to an active lifestyle. On the contrary, it is an opportunity to do things for which there was not time before. It's time to do what you want! You can travel, attend concerts, exhibitions, master a new craft, etc.

3. The way of life of each of us. This factor, although the last in the list, but not the last in its importance. People who eat well, lead an active lifestyle, cheerful and cheerful, look better and live longer than others.

Of course, we can not completely ignore the genetic factor. But basically the potential in us is almost the same. And the rest get what they deserve.

Early aging causes bad habits and inclinations: overeating (excess weight), harmful food (high cholesterol in the blood), drinking alcohol, smoking, etc. If we exclude them from our lives, then the aging process will take place according to a set program, and we will meet old age without heart attacks, without diseases of the organs of motion, without senile dementia.

Thanks to modern methods that allow to determine the biological age of various human organs, it is revealed that the old diseases are significantly "younger". First of all, this refers to the cardiovascular system. Often forty-year-olds have the heart of a seventy-year-old man. This is the payment for the crazy pace of modern life, for staying in constant tension and stress.

Old age is not a diagnosis or a disease. If you want to stay active for years, analyze your life. Get rid of the addictions that destroy your body. Do physical exercises that will not only strengthen your body, but also temper the spirit.
