June 29, 1988 in the not very large city of Dzerzhinsk, Nizhny Novgorod region, the future bronze medalist of the Olympiad in Rio de Janeiro, Olga Kochneva, was born. Sports career

One of the students of the fencing coach Futina Elena Nikolaevna in Dzerzhinsk was Olga Kochneva. Fencing attracted her attention at the age of eleven by her beauty and spectacularity. As such, Olga did not have a choice of a weapon for fencing, since only one weapon in Dzerzhinsk practice is a sword. Therefore, from the possible options - rapier, saber, sword - Olga began to deal with it. For sixteen years of training, Olga earned the title of Honored Master of Sports of Russia. Currently, the coach instructors are Kislyunin Alexander Sergeevich (Honored coach of Russia) and Vitaly Alexandrovich. It was under their leadership that Olga Kochneva achieved her main victories to date.

In her sports performances, Olga represents the Moscow club Dynamo and the sports club Yunost Moskvy. In 2009, 2010, 2011, and later, in 2014 and 2016 became the champion of Russia in team competitions. Also in the team was a silver medalist in 20122 2015. In the individual competition of 2007 and 2016 she became the owner of the bronze award at the Russian championships.

The Order of Merit for the Fatherland of the second degree was awarded due to high sports achievements and demonstrated will to victory and determination in the Games of the XXX1 Olympiad.
