"Levomekol" ointment is a modern antibacterial and anti-inflammatory drug. It has antibiotics in its composition, due to which it copes with various kinds of inflammatory processes, without harming the microbial flora of the body. This is especially important because bacteria that live on the mucous membranes can be both harmful and useful.

In the preparation there are two active components - the immunostimulator methyluracil and the antibiotic levomitsetin. Ethylene glycol is an additional agent that enhances the effect of the main ingredients. It is he who contributes to the preservation of the antibacterial resistance of the ointment in the fight against purulent and necrotic formations.

"Levomycetin" is a powerful antibiotic, widely used in modern medicine. It successfully destroys pathogens such as E. coli, streptococci, staphylococci and various viruses. That is why this tool is not assigned to women who are expecting a baby, as well as to nursing mothers.

As for the second active component - methyluracil, it activates processes in cell membranes, improves tissue regeneration and prevents their decay. That is why the ointment from burns "Levomecol" effectively restores the skin, it is prescribed even at the third and fourth degree of lesion. In addition, this active component of the drug stimulates the intensive production of leukocytes - blood cells, performing the function of protecting against pathogens.

Using.

"Levomekol" ointment is successfully used to treat purulent wounds, both simple and complicated by various infections. This drug disinfects, reduces puffiness, restores damaged skin and pulls purulent masses. This tool is very popular among people suffering from furunculosis.

If the area of the affected tissue is large, "Levomekol" ointment is applied to sterile wipes made of gauze, fill the wound with them and bandage it. Such compresses should be changed daily at least once a day, depending on how much pus accumulated. In some situations, the preparation is heated to 36 ° C and, with the help of a catheter or syringe, it is injected into the affected cavity.

In cases where purulent inflammation has a focus in the outer part of the auricle, proceed as follows: form flagella from sterile gauze, soak them with ointment and place in the ear canal for not less than ten hours. It is possible to insert such turundas and in the nose for the treatment of sinusitis.

Also relieves "Levomekol" ointment from acne. Large foci of inflamed skin are treated with a warmed-up preparation with a piece of sterile gauze bandage and fix such a compress with a plaster adhesive. Small pimples can be lubricated with this remedy several times during the day, without resorting to dressings.

It is necessary to closely monitor the reaction of the skin to the ointment. There are cases of allergic reaction to its use. In this case, the use of the drug should be stopped immediately.

Another important factor affecting the effectiveness of the ointment is the administration of "Levomycetin" in tablets. If treatment with such a remedy took place less than two years before "Levomechol", the fight against acne will be ineffective.

Remember that applying this drug for a long time is not recommended, otherwise the effect of its use is significantly reduced.
