Nha Trang: reviews of tourists

The most famous resort of Vietnam with fantastically beautiful ancient beaches, washed by the turquoise waters of the warm sea, sunny weather throughout the year, the lively atmosphere of the young tourist city. It is the capital of Khanh Hoa Province, the city of Nha Trang. Travelers' reviews speak of it as a fabulous place with many natural and cultural attractions. Located on the coast of the South China Sea, it is also the diving center in the country.

Being in Nha Trang, feeling the rhythm and pulsation of a modern city, it is difficult to imagine that once there was almost a deserted area, consisting of several small fishing villages. When Vietnam became part of French Indochina, this area with a beautiful bay, like a sparkling greenish-blue gem, trimmed with endless golden beaches, with marvelous islets around, was chosen for the construction of a resort town. Later, American soldiers agreed with this: during the Vietnam War , Nyachang was the most favorite holiday destination for them (the testimonies of that time confirm this).

The rainy season in this tropical corner lasts from September to mid-December. The sea is windy, sometimes the weather is cool enough. But from January to August, at any time, rest here promises to be favorable. The best time is considered to be the period from February to April, when the air temperature is kept within moderate limits (26-27 degrees), and short rains are a rare occurrence.

In the spring months the resort is especially attractive for lovers of scuba diving from all over the world. In the summer season, which starts in May, when hot weather sets in, Nha Trang takes a lot of visitors. It is often difficult to find available rooms in hotels. If the trip is planned for July or August, the list of attractions worth visiting is occupied by Hon Ba, a mountain located 30 kilometers from the city center. This is an area with its own microclimate. It's cool throughout the year, and it's nice to hide from the heat for a while.

The tourist infrastructure is more concentrated in the southern part of the city, in Beit Thu, resembling a tourist town dotted with shops for the sale of diving accessories, tour desk, restaurants and cafes. Tran Phu, a beautiful promenade with palm trees and other tropical trees along a nearly seven-kilometer city beach with hotels, trendy restaurants, beach bars, fashionable shops - downtown Nha Trang. Reviews of travelers about this place are full of enthusiastic impressions.

The main attraction of the city is the complex of towers by Nagar. It is one of the most interesting tema temples in all of Vietnam. Historically, the state of Champa (or Champa), which existed from the seventh to the seventeenth century, occupied many lands in Southeast Asia, especially in present-day Vietnam and Cambodia. Many temple structures of distinctive architectural style were built, unmistakably recognizable. That's why there is a lot of similarity between the Cambodian Angkor Wat and the temple complex dedicated to the goddess Po Nagar, whose name translates as "Mother of the Country".

On the shrine's territory are hundreds of ancient relics, including a statue of the goddess. The Po Nagar towers are located on a mountain with fantastically beautiful views of the Kai River to the north of the city center of Nha Trang. Reviews of tourists who are not even particularly interested in history, say that this place with an amazing and unique atmosphere of mystery, antiquity, natural beauty. Another important place in the city is Long Son pagoda with an impressive statue of a Buddha sitting on a lotus flower.

The National Oceanographic Museum is located in a huge complex consisting of colonial buildings. The collection of the oceanarium-museum is dedicated to the marine history of Khanh Hoa province. In the aquarium you can see representatives of such species of marine fauna as reef sharks, exotic turtles, sea horses, sea crocodiles, clownfish, lion scorpion-ruff, and colorful varieties of corals that you will not see elsewhere. In addition to living marine creatures, there are skeletons of rare species of animals or organisms preserved in formaldehyde. Open to the public in 1922, it remains the popular guide for tourists in Nha Trang all the time.
