Nasheed - what is it? What is its origin?

Recently, amazingly beautiful melodic religious hymns - Nashida - have become popular. What they represent, what they say about how the believers look at it, will be briefly told in this article.

Nasheed - what is it?

Nasheed is a Muslim hymn (religious), performed traditionally only by male or children's vocals (in choir or solo) without musical instruments. According to the authoritative opinion of the majority of theologians (including the founders of four of the main Islamic madhhabs), the use of musical (instrumental) accompaniment is not allowed.

But today musical instruments are widely used. Usually tambourine or duff is used as an accompaniment in the songs.
Moreover, in the modern era, Nashida (beautiful and melodic) is one of the forms of musical art.

These songs performed by women are allowed only in the circle of women.

What do Nashida say?

Surprisingly melodic any nashid. What is in it laid and what is it sung about? In the chants of the ordinary, virtues are sung, words contain the glorification of the Almighty (Allah) and call for Islam. In addition, these songs have a fairly wide range of various topics, such as the theme of love for the motherland, family, mother in the religious (spiritual) sphere. Virtually in all our narratives there are praises addressed to the Almighty.

It turns out that in these songs there is nothing that can affect a person's faith, values and beliefs. Nashid music, on the contrary, inspires people, because it attracts with its unusual melody, and its words teach all virtues.

goal

The goal of Nashid is not only to attract and call for Islamic faith, they are also designed to create a wonderful atmosphere of piety, comfort and goodwill. Hymns also help believers to dignify leisure in their spare time.

Too radical Islamic sects are of the opinion that Nades, as well as any music, are banned by Islam. However, if you recall the history of the emergence of Islam, it becomes clear that this is not so.

From the story of ours

Where does nashid originate? What is important happened and when?
It is known that when the Prophet Muhammad performed the Hijra, at the moment when they entered Medina, all the inhabitants met him just with the "La illyah Illya La." And about this the Prophet expressed absolutely no displeasure. Thus, Nashida can not be banned, who and whatsoever would say about it.

Singing is usually Nashi in Arabic, but recently they are performed on others: English, French, etc.

Modern Nashidas are performed as a cappella, and accompanied by a musical, and they can take completely different forms.

Where did modern Nashidy come from?

The origins of religious songs should be sought in the 1930s. Then in Egypt, the Islamic movement began. In those days, the slogan was popular, which was chanted: "Allah is our banner, and the Messenger is our model."

At the same time spiritual songs began to spread in Syria. Art has elevated to a new height precisely these very nashidy. Beautiful and expressive chants began to be performed by the stars in those days: Alfarfur, Termezi and many other performers of Sufi songs.

Enchanted with their singing and singers from Jordan. In the 70s of the last century there were sound recording special studios for performers of Nashid. And this contributed to the growth of their popularity.

It turned out that such spiritual songs contributed to the spread of the movement of Islam in many countries of the world.

Today, Nashid has become more professional, its content has become deeper and forms have been improved. Moreover, there were also the first video clips in the beginning of the 21st century, broadcast on all TV channels of the world.

Haram (sin) or not?

This is where the question (the problem) arises: the Nashida became very popular, but, in fact, the music in Islam is haraam ... It is known that the Prophet Muhammad spoke about people playing instruments that Allah will punish them. As you know, he himself (Almighty) loved to listen to beautiful songs performed by girls (without musical accompaniment). This is evidenced by a hadeeth.

And yet, nashid - what is it? Haram or not? In these songs there are no vicious motives and no other connotations. Famous performer Sami Yusuf said that he is very grateful for his such wonderful work to Allah. And inspiration is an appeal to the Creator himself!

Perhaps there is nothing wrong and evil in propagating the culture of Islam around the world with such talented performers, even if not in the form adopted, but beautiful and enchanting?
