About the theater

The musical theater "Aquamarine" began its creative life in 2012. The first performance - "Kashtanka" by A.P. Chekhov. Artistic director is Nina Chusova.

"Aquamarine" is a mixture of music, circus and theater. Good fairytales reign here. Only it is necessary to cross the threshold of this wonderful place, as soon as miracles begin. Theater "Aquamarine" is a hall that is designed for 591 spectators, it is cozy and has a good lift, thanks to what everything that is happening on the stage will be perfectly visible from any place. Armchairs are equipped with special cushions for young visitors. On the site of the theater there is an interactive scheme of the hall. On it you can see how the scene from the selected place will be seen. It is very convenient. In the theater there is a cafe where you can drink fragrant tea or coffee, as well as a snack with delicious sandwiches, cakes, crackle popcorn, feast on sweet cotton and, of course, ice cream.

Artists and creative group

"Aquamarine" is a large creative team, in which both big and small actors of the theater and circus work. In the musical "Treasure Island" 48 people are employed, seven of them are the most talented boys playing Jim Hockins. Each role is played in turn by several actors.

Artistic director Nina Chusova served as an actress in the theater of the city of Samara, then received a second education already as a director. After that she worked as a guest director in different cities. She is famous for being a teacher in acting for the 7th season of the popular television show "Star Factory", as well as the main director of the 18th ceremony of awarding the laureates of the Golden Mask award.

Yuri Kataev is an old partner of Nina Chusova for theatrical works. In "Aquamarine" he is the director-director. Kataev was an actor in the Samara theater, then served as assistant director at the Mossovet Theater and the Theater of Nations, taught acting and stage movement at the Academy of Culture of the city of Samara. With Nina Chusova he collaborated as a plastic director since 2006.

The songwriters to the productions are Vladislav Malenko and Alexei Mironov. The latter takes part in performances as an artist. Vladislav Malenko is an actor by education. He served in the Taganka Theater, and is also the lead and author of such popular TV shows as "Up to 16 and older ..." (First Channel), "Dolls" (NTV), "I Serve Russia" (Star) and so on. He was repeatedly awarded with medals of the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Defense.

And also in this creative team, the author of the dramatization Oleg Dobrovan, production designer Vladimir Martirosov, choreographer Natalia Golovkina, costume designer Anastasia Glebova and Taras Mikhalevsky - light designer.

Repertoire

The theater "Aquamarine" exists only a few years, therefore its repertoire is not too big yet. From the productions now on the stage in the Broadway mode (daily) there is a musical for children "Treasure Island". In June 2015, the premiere of another performance will take place. It will also be a musical, the main roles in it will also be performed by young artists. He is called "Ballad of a small heart".
