Momordika: cultivation of exotic plants

Momordica is a plant that belongs to the family of pumpkin and is widely used in folk medicine. In this case, both fruits and leaves with seeds are used here.

Such popularity is due to the presence of this plant a lot of medicinal and human-friendly characteristics. An adult momordica, the cultivation of which is in many respects similar to a similar process for other pumpkin cultures, looks like an ordinary cucumber. It is commonly used in the treatment of diseases such as diabetes mellitus, pneumonia, bronchitis, cough and many others. Moreover, it helps to increase immunity and fight against potential tumors and viruses.

At home for a plant such as Momordica, growing out of seeds is an ideal solution. In this case, it should be borne in mind that in the apartment it is done on the balcony or the windowsill, while at the dacha - in a greenhouse or a greenhouse. To begin with, plastic seeds are sown in the plastic cups, preferably two pieces each. Since their peel is strong enough, it can be slightly inscribed, which significantly improves the germination process. The main thing to do this very carefully, so as not to damage the core. Seeds do not need to be pre-soaked, and they are watered only after planting with a solution containing manganese. Momordika, growing seedlings which are carried out at home, needs a certain soil. For it, the soil is well suited, which is realized in specialized points. Together with this, it can be prepared and independently, for which it is necessary to mix one bucket of sand and earth from the plot, as well as half a bucket of leaves that have already been rerun.

After the seeds are planted and watered, they must be covered with a transparent polyethylene film. It is very important for seedlings of such a plant as a momordica, cultivation of which is carried out on its own private plot, so that the land constantly has moderate humidity. Condensation should appear on the inside of the film. To transplant the plant on the street is possible only in a warm time. The ideal signal for this is the faded apple trees. In this case, the plant of momordica is carried along with the clod of earth, and the roots should not be damaged. Preliminary introduction of organic fertilizers into the garden soil is a prerequisite, since the momordica is very demanding to the soil. But that's not all, after all the fertilizing is done in about every half a month.

Momordika, grown on a private plot or bed, is essentially a vine, so it needs support. As soon as yellow flowers bloom with jasmine, they are recommended to be pollinated on their own, by touching the two differently-sexed specimens with the upper parts to each other. Between them, they differ in that female flowers have a small green fruit, which after pollination will begin to develop and grow rapidly. Its maturation can be determined by yellow, even slightly orange color. Over time, he generally starts to crack. Consequently, in the lower part of the fetus you can see its inner part of red-orange color. However, they are also eaten unpeopely in food.
