Milk from the breast

Breastfeeding at all times remains the best, safest, most economical and useful way to breast-feed. Milk from the breast gives to babies up to 6 months all the vitamins, nutritious, biologically active and mineral substances they need . And most importantly, with breast milk, children receive energy for life.

The unique composition of milk provides the child's body with immune protection against various infectious diseases. It also contains the optimal ratio and amount of substance, such as polyunsaturated fatty acids and taurine, required for the establishment and further development of visual function, as well as various functions of the central nervous system.

Milk from the breast, thanks to the content of certain active substances (lactoferrin), significantly promotes the assimilation of iron, which reduces the risk of the onset and development of anemia. In addition, it prevents the development of many other diseases.

So, following the testimony of studies, we can say that breastfeeding reduces the risk of getting diabetes, multiple sclerosis, inflammatory diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. After all, mother's milk is the best, ideal food for a child. Mainly, because it is perfectly digested and easily digested, is characterized by a constant temperature and is always ready for immediate use.

Milk in the breasts is produced, then accumulated and separated due to the interaction of hormones with reflex effects. Even during pregnancy, the hormonal changes that are taking place prepare the mammary glands for immediate lactation. This leads to the development of mammary glands and an increase in their size.

When a child sucks a breast, there are reflexes leading to the release of certain hormones. They, along with blood, are delivered to the cells of the alveoli and cause their contraction, which leads to the release of milk. This is also facilitated by the reduction of some muscle fibers that directly surround the breast.

Milk begins to "come" in the interval between the second and sixth day immediately after birth. Before that, the baby sucks the so-called "first milk" (colostrum). In addition to all the necessary nutrients, it contains antibodies, as well as other immune factors that protect the child from disease.

During the arrival of milk the baby should be fed as often as possible in order to avoid the development of milk stagnation. When a baby sucks milk from his chest, a space is freed up in it for some excess fluid. It flows to the breast mainly in the postpartum period.

Quite often after delivery, mothers are faced with the fact that milk itself leaks. Every woman has this differently. So in some young mothers, milk from breasts can leak spontaneously, at any time of the day. And for some, when feeding a child with one breast, it is simultaneously allocated from the other.

But there is no cause for concern. This is a completely natural and normal situation. After all, during lactation, the breast increases in size to the maximum. Milk "hot flashes" occur often, sometimes painfully, and there are cases when the body temperature rises. To facilitate the condition, pumping is recommended.

Milk from the breast can be expressed both independently and with the help of a special breast pump. But this procedure is required only in the early periods of lactation. Over time, everything is normalized, the milk will be produced as much as your child needs.

In this case, the breast of hard and painful will become soft and will change shape. All the processes of self-regulation will begin to work actively. It should be noted that such a stabilization in each woman occurs in different ways. This process can last from one to four months. But it's all within the norm and very individual.

According to many experts, spontaneous discharge from the breast milk serves as the main barrier for the development of such dangerous ailments as lactostasis and mastitis. After all, milk comes out, and does not stagnate, and this excludes the possibility of these diseases.
