Military holidays. Day of the peacekeeping forces of Russia

In recent years, international terrorism has become almost the most dangerous problem for the inhabitants of the Earth in its scale and consequences. All states unite to fight against it.

Fighting terrorism

The servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, as one of the UN contingents, have repeatedly participated in the prevention and elimination of internecine strife both in the territory of the CIS countries (former Soviet republics) and in countries outside the Commonwealth.

Russian servicemen everywhere showed themselves as experienced and qualified peacekeepers, performing tasks qualitatively.

In the Russian calendar, for each month of the year, there are several commemorative memorials and holidays, including a common for the whole country - February 23 - Day of Military Glory.

There is also a memorable Day of the Russian peacekeeping forces. The date was set as a token of respect for the merits of military professionals in the prevention and elimination of clashes and the security of our state.

But, unfortunately, very few people know what day the Day of the Russian peacekeeping forces is marked in our calendar.

Peacekeeping activities

Russia is a peace-loving country, and the priority of Russian politics is always peacemaking.

The manifestation of this policy is successfully conducted peacekeeping interventions of Russia in Transnistria, in the republics of Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Tajikistan, where the Russian army prevented mutual unjustified slaughter, and then persuaded the conflicting parties of the need for peaceful coexistence.

Peacekeeping in the CIS is an important condition for Russia's integrity and stability and ultimately serves to maintain internal order in the state. Therefore, the day of the peacekeeping forces of Russia must be known to all its citizens.

Russia's peacekeeping forces were created because of the almost two-year frank confrontation with arms in the hands between Abkhazia and Georgia.

In April 1994, at the Council of Heads of State of the CIS, on the agreement of the warring parties, a decision was made on the readiness to deploy peacekeeping forces from the military units of the CIS states to the area of armed clashes. In early June, the Russian president issued a decree on the cooperation of the Russian military contingent in the CIS peacekeeping enterprise in the Abkhazia regions bordering on Georgia.

And on June 21, peacekeeping forces were already deployed in the area of a bloody conflict.

Setting the day of memory

This day is considered the day of the creation of the Collective Peacekeeping Forces of the Commonwealth of Independent States and is called the Day of the Russian Peacekeeping Forces. What you need to know about this?

Since the establishment of the CIS Collective Peacekeeping Forces and marking the Day of the Russian Peacekeeping Forces (June 21), Russian peacekeepers have gone a wonderful way, creating conditions for maintaining sustainable peace. And thereby won great respect and benevolence on the part of the population.

In view of the presence of Russian peacekeepers, an armed conflict, owing to which the opposing sides lost more than seven thousand people, was stopped. And a lot of work has been done to prevent the incitement of armed clashes, the fragmentation of the demining of the district, the provision of assistance to the local population in the settlement of life after the end of hostilities.

The interruption of the armed confrontation was costly - dozens of lives of Russian soldiers became a payment for peace. Therefore, the memorable day of the Russian peacekeeping forces deserved the right to exist.

Peacekeepers and the population

Any military action brings grief and pain to people.

And the presence of peacekeepers is almost the only hope that a senseless mutual beating will finally be stopped.

Simple people are far from national antagonism and political aspirations. On the Day of the Peacekeeping Forces of Russia it is good to remember that peace and rest are immeasurably more important. The future of children is what must always be put on the first place. And that is why on the Day of the Russian Peacekeeping Forces (June 21) congratulations and warm words to these brave people sound.

Being in the conflict zone, peacekeepers also carry out humanitarian tasks.

To the commanders of the Collective Peace-keeping Force, servicemen, every day is treated on a variety of issues, with the assistance of residents throughout the district.

Throughout the region, qualified peacekeepers have been given a good reputation for qualified medical assistance to civilians from professional military doctors with experience working in hot spots.

People understand that peacekeeping forces bring peace to the people of this land, and Russian peacekeepers are the only guarantor of lasting calm in this region.
