Family, childhood and youth

Volontir Mihai Yermolaevich was born in 1934, on the 9th of March. His homeland is the village of Glinzheny, located on the territory of the Kingdom of Romania (now it is Moldova).

Father Mihai, Yermolai Melentievich, was a forester. The family lived near the commune of Olishkany. The future actor grew up an active and intelligent child.

At the age of 18, Mihail Volontir entered the pedagogical school. Soon he began to practice in a rural school, namely in the village of Popouci. In 1955 the young man received a diploma. He moved to the village of Lipcheny, where he took up the post of club manager.

The beginning of creative activity

In 1957 Mihai became a participant of the republican amateur performance show. After this energetic and talented guy was invited to work in the music and drama theater, located in the city of Balti. Volontir answered with consent. The first performance, in which he performed on the stage of this institution, was called "Chiritsa." And for the whole theatrical career our hero played over 120 roles. This speaks only of his diligence and devotion to the chosen profession.

The first roles in the films

The film career of Mihai Volontir began in 1967 and immediately from the main role. In the Moldovan comedy Need a Doorkeeper he successfully turned into Ivan Turbinka, a soldier of the tsarist army.

The second picture with his participation was published in 1968. It's about the dramatic film "This moment". The character of Volontir is a young tramp and romantic, who is called Mihai. He voluntarily joins the fight against the Francoists.

Between 1969 and 1978, the filmography of the Moldovan actor was enriched with seventeen works. Among them one can single out the drama "Bridges" (Petrake), the painting "The Root of Life" (chairman of the collective farm) and the political drama "Centaurs" (Evaristo).

"Gypsy": a film that conquered the hearts of the audience

Our hero was never afraid to be a hostage to one role. But it seems that this is what happened to him.

"Gypsy" - a film that appeared on the screens in 1979. The main roles in this family melodrama went to Mihail Volontir and Klara Luchko. Bright and realistic images were able to create a Ukrainian (Soviet) actress, and a Moldovan actor. Budulai Romanov is a strong-willed gypsy who is used to traveling around the world in search of freedom and simple human happiness. He falls in love with a Russian woman Claudia Pukhlyakova.

The painting "Gypsy" brought to Mikhail Ermolaevich a wide fame and popular love. However, Volontir (actor) never suffered from stellar illness. Budulai reappeared on the screens in 1985. The second part of the "Gypsy" was no less successful than the first.

Continuation of career

In 1980, the premiere of the military mini-series "From the Bug to the Vistula" took place. The volunteer got one of the key roles. And although in this film he played partisan-kopakovtsa, viewers still saw in him Budulay.

M. Volontir married when he was not yet 20 years old. His chosen one was the young actress Efrosinya Dobynda. Soon the couple had a common daughter. The baby was called Stella. It has long grown. Stella did not follow in the footsteps of her parents, but chose a diplomatic career.

Currently, the only daughter of Mihail Volontir lives in France and works in the Moldovan embassy. The famous artist has a granddaughter, who is called Keteline.

Death

In the late 1990s, M. Volontir was diagnosed with diabetes mellitus. This disease was accompanied by complications (visual impairment).

In the summer of 2015, the actor (Budulai) was taken to a clinical hospital in Chisinau. He was under the control of the best doctors. However, they failed to help the artist.

September 15, 2015 Mihai Volontir left this world. He found the last shelter in the Central (Armenian) cemetery, located in the city of Chisinau.
