Medicinal preparation 'Azitsid', instructions for use, contraindications

Antibiotic of a wide range of action, the preparation "Azitsid", belongs to the group of macrolides (azicides). This drug acts by a high concentration of the active substance - azithromycin - in the focus of the infection, creating bactericidal protection. There is a high activity of the drug against gram-positive bacteria, and on the contrary, it does not affect gram-negative bacteria, which show resistance to erythromycin.

"Azithromycin" is resistant to acidic medium, so the absorption of the medicine comes from the digestive tract. The drug reaches its maximum concentration in the blood plasma after 3 hours, it has a moderate bioavailability of 37%. It should be noted good ability to penetrate into the urogenital organs and tissues, the respiratory tract, soft tissues and the skin of the preparation "Azicid", the instruction for use explains this by low binding to blood plasma proteins. "Azithromycin" is delivered by phagocytes to places of high concentration of infection and released in the process of phagocytosis, without exerting a negative influence on them.

Inflammatory infections of various types are indications for treatment with the preparation "Azitsid", the instructions for use refer to such diseases, which are caused by microorganisms that are sensitive to the drug. This includes the following infections:

- urogenital;

- upper respiratory tract, for example, tonsillitis, tonsillitis, otitis media , etc. and ENT organs;

- lower respiratory tract, for example, atypical pneumonia;

- skin and soft tissues (impetigo, secondary dermatoses);

- the initial stages of Lyme disease;

- Diseases of the duodenum, gastric pathology.

When prescribing treatment, it is necessary to follow the dosage regimen of the preparation "Azitsid", the instruction for use recommends taking the medicine after meals once a day in doses prescribed individually.

On the part of some body systems, side effects can occur due to the use of the drug "Azitsid", the instruction calls for the possibility of negative manifestations from the sexual and urinary system, in the form of allergic or dermatological reactions. In children, treatment with a drug can cause itching, conjunctivitis, or hives.

Severe renal and hepatic insufficiency is considered the reason for the abolition of treatment with the drug "Azitsid", the instruction for use calls a few more contraindications for this remedy:

- children under the age of 3 years or with a body weight less than 25 kg:

- high sensitivity to the drug:

- high sensitivity to antibiotics of the macrolide group.

Treatment with "Azitsid" during pregnancy is possible, but only in the case of the superiority of the benefits of taking this drug for a woman over the potential risk to the child.

When an overdose of the drug "Azitsid" is observed the same symptoms as with side effects, but they are manifested in augmented form. It can be vomiting, severe nausea and diarrhea, temporary hearing loss is possible. As treatment, take activated charcoal, gastric lavage and other symptomatic therapy.

Before the appointment of the drug "Azitsid" as a therapeutic agent, special attention should be paid to its interaction with other medicines. First of all, it will protect against a possible overdose, which happens due to mutual reinforcement of some funds.
