Dosing regimen

The scheme of reception is established by the expert individually. Usually, lesions in the genitourinary system are recommended every eight hours for half a gram. At typhoid fever with an interval of 6 h take 1-2 grams. In the case of acute course of the pathology, the duration of therapy is two weeks, with bacteriocarrier - from six to twelve weeks. For infectious lesions of the respiratory system, it is recommended every six hours for 0.25 g. For children, the dosage is adjusted taking into account the weight. Assign, as a rule, to 100 mg / kg. The drug is recommended to drink 4-6 times a day. Correction of the admission regimen may be required for patients with impaired renal function.

Contraindications

As the abstract to Ampicillin warns, the use of the drug is not allowed if the medicine and other beta-lactam drugs (carbapenems, cephalosporins, penicillins) are intolerant. Contraindications include leukemia, infectious mononucleosis, disorders of liver activity in severe conditions. Do not recommend treatment before the age of 6, during lactation and during the antenatal period. Contraindicated medication is HIV-infected.

Adverse Reactions

Skin rash, flushing, conjunctivitis, urticaria and rhinitis are attributed to the negative consequences, which on the ground of intolerance can provoke the drug "Ampicillin".
