Marshal Fedorenko is one of the outstanding commanders of the Red Army during the Great Patriotic War.
Marshal Fedorenko: Biography
He was born on the twenty-second of October 1896 in Kharkov province. His father worked as a port loader. Since childhood, Jacob had to work hard. At the age of 9 he became a shepherd and then a coachman. Despite of small age, works on a par with adults. Youth takes place in the steppes of Donbass. There he works at a mine and a salt plant in the city of Slavyansk. At the age of nineteen he was summoned to the imperial troops. Since by this time he had worked as a helmsman on a barge, he was taken to the fleet. In the service of the emperor, he graduated from the school of the helmsman. During World War I he serves on the minesweeper.
The huge social abyss and injustice of the existing system arouse the indignation of Yakov. He actively supports the February revolution. Being a good organizer, he is elected to the ship's committee. On the same February he joins the Workers' Communist Party. Actively supports the protest movement. When the Great October Revolution begins, Yakov Nikolaevich Fedorenko is again on the front line. Commanding a detachment of sailors, he helps establish the power of the Soviets in Odessa. After the overthrow of the old system, he is recorded in the ranks of the Red Guard. Civil war begins.
Civil War
For two years, the second for Yakov war, he manages to visit almost all fronts. First he commands an armored train and beats the Czechoslovaks and Kolchak in the east. Then he fights with Yudenich in the North and the Poles in the west. The fourth side of the world brought bloody battles with the armies of Wrangel, who tried to consolidate himself in the Crimea. Commissar Fedorenko was always on the front line. Several times he received concussion and various injuries.
The Great Patriotic War
After the Civil War he commanded a division. Was engaged in training. He graduated from several schools and courses for commanders. Quickly promoted. By 1941, he was already the head of the Auto Armored Directorate. When the war began, the future marshal Fedorenko becomes deputy People's Commissar of Defense. A year later he was entrusted with armored and mechanized units of the Red Army. Is an inspector from the stakes.
He regularly visited the front line. He led the fighters during the defense of Moscow. Represents RVGK during the battle for Stalingrad.
Contribution to military art
With the improvement of tanks, he proceeded from combat experience, which brought enormous benefits in optimizing production.
He died on March 26, 1947 in Moscow. In his honor are named streets in Moscow, Kharkov, Donbass.
