History of Mallorca

The island was inhabited by people from the Paleolithic era and for many years served as a strategic point controlled by Carthage. After its defeat, these beautiful places became the base of pirates, and in 123 BC were conquered by Roman troops, which gave rise to the era of prosperity. After the fall of the Roman Empire, the island was included in the kingdom of the Vandals, and then of Byzantium, which brought Christianity with them, but did not save such beautiful lands, captured soon by the Caliphate of Cordoba. And only in 1229 Majorca (Spain), freed from the oppression of Muslims, was annexed to the kingdom of Aragon and included in the autonomous region of Spain. Until the fifties of the last century it was considered a Spanish province, until the invasion of tourists. The tourist boom turned this paradise into a popular Mediterranean resort, where both democratic and luxurious holidays are offered. Spain (Mallorca) is considered a true paradise.

And the most memorable journey will be visiting the picturesque village of Valdemossa in the mountains, where you can see stone buildings, winding streets, paved and decorated with flower pots. It would be superfluous also to visit in those parts of the beautifully preserved majestic monastery. Adventure lovers will like visiting five caves, carefully guarded by Spain (Mallorca). Caves are popular and interesting with their underground lakes, effectively decorated with light lighting, thanks to which one can see the dawn under the earth. Tourists who prefer a club holiday, should go to one of the many casinos or on the show in restaurants. Also it will be interesting to relax in water parks, theme parks, sailing, windsurfing, snorkeling and other entertainments, presented at the fabulous and luxurious Majorca.
