Make jam with cherries

Have you ever tried cherry jam with a stone? And from the sweet cherry? If not, then it's time to do it, and if so, why not remind yourself of the original taste of this delicacy? There are various ways of making jams from these fruits. And how exactly to do this is described in the article.

The cherry jam is sweet and sour with a pleasant aroma, it will turn out to be a beautiful color if you follow the technology of its preparation and not digest it.

I would like to introduce you to two very interesting recipes for how to make jam from cherries with bones (and also from cherries).

Cherry jam with stones

You will need to prepare

  • Cherry fruit with bones - 3 kg;
  • Sugar-sand - 3 kg;
  • Water - 0.5 liters.

First you need to sort out the berries, and then carefully wash them. Following this action, you need to make a syrup of sugar. For this, two ingredients such as sugar and water will be needed. Put the water on the stove and wait for it to boil. After that, put sugar in it, but not all - you will need only slightly more than two kilograms - the rest will go to completely different purposes. As soon as you add the sugar, let the syrup pour out a little more (about a minute) and after that you can remove it from the plate.

Now fill the berries with syrup and leave the weight infused for twelve hours.

Once the time allotted for insistence passes, you will need to proceed directly to the cooking process itself. To do this, the cherry should be placed in a bowl of the appropriate size of the fruit, pour the rest of the sugar and then start cooking on medium heat. You must bring the mass to a boil and after five minutes remove it from the plate. In this form, the cherry should be left for another 12 hours, after which time it will be necessary to again take the cooking process. Again it will be necessary to put a jam of cherries with bones on a plate and cook over medium heat until the whole mass boils. In the process of the second cooking, foam can appear on top of the syrup - it must be removed with a spoon, otherwise the jam will be sugared during storage.

At the end of cooking, remove the jam from the plate and leave again for 12 hours. You will have to repeat the cooking procedure again, after which the jam can be rolled into cans or simply consumed, since it will already be ready.

As you can see, it's very easy to make jam from cherries with bones. It is only necessary to have some free time and patience.

And now I would like to share a recipe for another very tasty dessert, which is also jam, but this time it is prepared not from cherries, but from cherries.

Cherry with cherries

You will need to prepare

  • Fruits of sweet cherry (it is better to take a white-berry variety) - 1 kg;
  • Sugar - 1.2 kg;
  • Vanilla sugar and citric acid - to taste.

Before you start cooking jam, you need to sort out and thoroughly wash the cherry. After this, each berry must be stitched with a needle. But since this process is quite monotonous, you can use a simpler, alternative way out of the situation - dip the berries in boiling water for a couple of minutes.

It should be noted that jam from cherries with bones is prepared almost as well as from cherries. Therefore, to begin with, prepare the syrup and fill it with cherries. After infusion for 4-5 hours, you can start cooking. It should be carried out over medium heat. As in the previous recipe, you will have to produce it in three stages with an infusion length of 4-5 hours. At the very end of the last cooking, you need to add citric acid - this will stop the possible process of sugaring the fruit, and in order to make the flavor of the jam even more vivid, you need to add vanilla sugar. After that, the jam can also be laid out on sterilized jars and covered, or you can simply cool it and put it in the refrigerator.
